DISCOVERY AFTER-SCHOOL CHESS Winter/Spring Session 2018

We will continue to offer after-school chess at Discovery this winter/spring. Sedrick “Big Pawn” Prude, who ran our chess club last winter, will be joining us again. Mr. Prude has over 22 years of experience teaching chess and has been offering professional chess lessons in Chicagoland and northwest Indiana since 2000. He ranks in the 96th percentile of chess players in the U.S and his lessons are always fun and captivating. He will be assisted again by Joshua Williams. Joshua has been instructing chess for over 4 years. In addition to coaching and teaching chess he has worked with youth k-8 for the last 8 years. He aims to share his knowledge of the game in a way that keeps students engaged and helps them enjoy their chess experience. Class for all levels will be held after school on Wednesdays from 2-3 p.m.

The Fall session will run from Wednesday, January 10 through Wednesday, May 23 (with NO session March 28, the week of spring break).

CLASS TIME: Wednesdays - 2-3 p.m. (pick up in front of school)

COST: $190. Make checks payable to Sedrick Prude.
