DESCRIPTION
My name is Donnett Vanek. I am a botanical artist who found a way to put my skills to work in the commercial textile world for many years, predominately designing kitchen towels. I have recently opened dishragstudio. I have returned to doing what I love most, which is creating hand rendered pieces. At dishragstudio I will be designing unique one of a kind hand printed eco friendly tea towels and other items such as hand printed cards, tote bags, pillows etc. Each tea towel is printed with 100% free solvent inks. Each item is hand printed with a linoleum block, so no two pieces are exactly alike. All designs are my unique original artwork that I then carve into lino blocks and then use them to print with. At dishragstudio I will also be offering a limited amount of hand rendered botanical illustrations and block prints to frame.
