ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE :

This project Distance Learning systemis to design

and develop an automated package named Distance learning systemfor managing the distance learning process of CMC limited viaInternet

The system consists of registration module for thestudents to login and also a ne! user signup !here the ne! studentscan register themselves The students !ho !ere successfullyregistered" they can access the li#rary #ooks $hile accessing the#ooks there is a condition as the #ooks are arranged in the form oflevels a student !ho accessed the %rst level can have a test in thatparticular level and is not eligi#le to take a test in the other levels

ROJECT OVERVIE! :

In the e&isting learning system all the students arere'uired to gat"er at a c#mm#n $#cati#n at a %artic&$ar timetoattend the lectures" #ecause of !hich it lacks Ge#gra%"ica$in'e%en'enceand Time in'e%en'ence(The students must attendthe training classes as per the pre(de%ned schedule and they need tocontact the training administrator if they desire to do a course and!ait for the administrator to grant permission for taking the courseSince the evaluation of test papers is done manually it takes more

time and there is a chance that errors may creep in during theevaluation

The students cannot pursue a course of his)her choiceat any time" as the training for that course may not #e availa#le atthat instant The student has to !ait for the training to conclude evenif he)she is familiar !ith the course content and !ants to !rite thetest and they even need to contact the training sta* for the studymaterial and test result details Since the details of all the students!ho are undergoing training are maintained manually it is di+cult tosearch for re'uired details and generate reports
