To District Convenors, Principals & Programme Officers of NSS Sub : NSS – National Integration Camp – Deputation of Volunteers reg - Sir, A National Integration Camp sponsored by the Minisry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India is scheduled to take place at Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Bani Teshill Barsar Dist. Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh from 21st May to 30th May 2011 in collaboration with NSS Regional Centre, Chandigarh. The Camping venue is at Bani which is 52kms by road from Una (Himachal Pradesh). Directorate of Higher Secondary Education has been identified to represent the State of Kerala for the said camp. 10 NSS Volunteers (5 Male & 5 Female) from the NSS units of Higher Secondary Schools will be selected to participate in the said camp. Programme Officers are directed to propose the name, address and Phone numbers of eligible volunteers desirous of being members of the team through the District Convenors concerned on or before 30/04/2011.Concessional to and fro tickets in 2nd class sleeper (train) and by Government bus by shortest route which will be reimbursed at the camp site on production of tickets (original). Free lodging and boarding will be provided by the organizer. Participants may report at the camping venue by 21st May 2011 (FN) and will be free to leave/return from the camp on 30th May 2011 (evening) onwards.

Selection Criteria

While deputing volunteers, preference will be given to the NSS Volunteers who can actively involve in the academic sessions and perform cultural programmes of Kerala. The participants should carry the following items.

NSS Banner Identity card, Bio-data, Indemnity Bond (Specimen attached), Physical

fitness certificate & Volunteer ship certificate in the attached formats. Best photographs of NSS activities from the State for exhibition at the

venue Dresses for physical exercises Normal colour dresses for daily use Light bedding Toiletries (Soap, Oil etc.) NSS badge A torch with cells Suitcase with lock Traditional dress of Kerala Musical instruments required for cultural programmes. CD/DVD songs for cultural programmes Two passport size photographs.

Volunteers selected have to fill in and handover to the Teacher escort the following proforma typed separately in A4 sheet and duely signed.
