multicultural enfrente de la biblioteca de Frisco, Frisco
Square, de 11:00 am a 6:00 pm. La organización de Artes
de Frisco, Frisco Arts, tomó la idea cuando un
representante de la organización asistió a nuestra Cena
Mexicana Anual y Día Cultural y pensó que algo así sería
bueno para la ciudad de Frisco. La idea vino también, de
un festival anual de varias culturas que se ha celebrado
en el Complejo Deportivo “Warren Park”. El
nuevo evento se llama “Global Village
Festival” y contará con comida,
artesanías, música, entretenimiento
y bailables cada 10 a 15 minutos.
Algunos de nuestros feligreses
estarán bailando en el escenario.
Realmente nos gusta la idea de
unir las muchas culturas que
componen Frisco. ¡Esperamos
que pueda asistir y disfrutar el
día en Frisco Square!
El tiempo de Pascua es el tiempo
de los Sacramentos, y ¡la gracia
de varios Sacramentos fluye
abundantemente! En la Vigilia Pascual
del 15 de abril, 25 adultos y 4 niños
fueron bautizados. Además 29 adultos,
bautizados en otras iglesias cristianas, hicieron
una profesión de fe y fueron recibidos en plena Comunión
con la Iglesia Católica. También 43 adultos recibieron el
Sacramento de la Confirmación y un niño hizo su Primera
Comunión.
No te olvides de asistir a nuestra celebración de La Divina
Misericordia a las 3:00 pm de hoy en la Iglesia. Incluye la
Exposición del Santísimo Sacramento, la Coronilla cantada,
varios himnos y oraciones; Concluirá con la Bendición
Eucarística. El servicio es bilingüe.
Saturday, April 29 brings us for a multicultural festival in
Frisco Square from 11:00 am till 6:00 pm. Frisco Arts
organization was inspired when their representative
attended our Annual Mexican Dinner and Cultural Day and
thought that something like this would be good for the
City of Frisco. Another inspiration came from an annual
festival of several cultures that has been held in the
nearby Warren Sports Complex. The new event is called
Global Village Festival and will feature food, art
crafts, music, dance - entertainment acts
every 10-15 minutes. Some of our own
parishioners will be dancing on stage.
We really like the idea of uniting the
many cultures that comprise
Frisco, and we hope you will enjoy
the day at Frisco Square!
Easter Time is Sacraments time,
and the grace of several
sacraments is flowing
abundantly! At the Easter Vigil on
April 15, 25 adults and 4 children
were baptized. Plus 29 adults,
formerly baptized in other Christian
traditions, made a Profession of Faith
and were received into full Communion
with the Catholic Church. Plus 43 adults
received the Sacrament of Confirmation and one
child made her First Communion.
Don’t forget to attend our Divine Mercy celebration at
3:00 pm today in the Church. It includes Exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament, the sung Chaplet and various hymns
and prayers; it will conclude with Eucharistic Benediction.
The service is bilingual.

mental, porque no saben protegerse. La violencia es aquella
manera de actuar haciendo uso excesivo de la fuerza física, pero
este tipo de violencia no es la única, también está la violencia
psicológica o maltrato verbal, que, igual daño causa, llevando
consigo la destrucción de su autoestima, por medio de las críticas,
los insultos y las burlas. Si te sientes en esta situación, queremos

El sacramento de Unción de Enfermos se impartirá a personas con una
enfermedad que los mantenga en peligro de muerte o que tengan una
cirugía próximamente. Los invitamos a recibir este sacramento durante la
Misa en español el Viernes, 21 de abril a las 6:30 pm en la Capilla de Santa
Clara. También hay bendición para las mamás y las familias que están
esperando un bebe.

grow! Come and enjoy the fun on April 29 for this
Multicultural Festival of food, music, and fun at
Frisco Square.
Next weekend the SVdP donation truck will be in the parking lot Sat. and Sun.
from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, or until the truck is filled. We are really in need of
kids' toys. Also, we accept any gently used clothing, shoes, handbags,
electronics, appliances or furniture. Your donations benefit our parish
conference of SVdP and provide basic essentials for families in nine North
Texas counties. For a list of acceptable items or to schedule a home pickup

The Mango Men's Lecture team from St. Gabriel the Archangel McKinney,
TX is excited to announce that the Mango Lectures are returning. On
Monday, April 24, 2017, we are bringing Jeff Cavins, an American
Catholic Evangelist, author, biblical scholar, and TV and Radio
personality, to speak to us all on the topic of ' FAN OR FOLLOWER? Your
relationship with Jesus.' The lecture starts at 7 pm in the Sacristy. You all

St. Francis of Assisi Parish is a community of disciples, united through our love of Jesus Christ and our shared Catholic Faith. We joyfully respond to our personal conversion and the call of the Holy Spirit by reflecting the love of the Father through evangelization and service.
This is the last chance this year to buy a hand-made Rosary in the foyer of the Parish Center for
your special occasion! The Women of St. Francis will be selling from inventory and taking orders
for hand-made rosaries after ALL Masses on the weekend of April 29/30. These make great gifts
for First Communion, Baptisms, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, weddings, graduations and other
special occasions.
The Respect Life Ministry will be collecting Baby Banks today, after every Mass in the
Great Hall.

Emmet Cahill, Ireland’s most exciting young tenor and a principal
vocalist with the well-renowned Irish show Celtic Thunder, will
present a concert at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on
Thursday, May 4 at 7:30 pm. General admission tickets for Emmet
Cahill’s concert are $30 and may be purchased online at

A limited number of Meet & Greet tickets, which include a pre-
concert meeting with Cahill plus the concert, are available for $45.
Love Your Parish? Want to make a difference? If you answered yes to
both these questions please consider applying for one of six open
positions on the Parish Council. We are currently taking applications until
April 30th. This is a calling that requires leadership, teamwork and provides
a great opportunity to help build our Parish Family. We meet on the
second Wednesday of each month for an hour and half in the evening.
Please consider this time commitment as you prayerfully consider this
ministry. To apply, please contact Asha Heller [email protected] no
later than April 30th. The interview process will be held during the week of
May 1st between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. The exact date will be
communicated later on.

Although the Diocese respects the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, Our Open Carry policy is rooted
in the belief that our churches, schools, and other places of worship are intended to be sanctuaries—holy sites where
people come to pray and participate in the ministry of the Church. It is the intent of this Policy to prohibit the possession of
any weapon in any facility owned, leased, or operated by the Diocese or a Diocesan Entity.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.06, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY LICENSE HOLDER WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN) A PERSON LICENSED UNDER
SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (HANDGUN LICENSING LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A CONCEALED
HANDGUN.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.07, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY LICENSE HOLDER WITH AN OPENLY CARRIED HANDGUN),A PERSON LICENSED
UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (HANDGUN LICENSING LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A HANDGUN
THAT IS CARRIED OPENLY.

destinados a ser santuarios - lugares sagrados donde la gente viene a orar y participar en el Ministerio de la Iglesia. La
intención de esta Política es prohibir la posesión de cualquier arma en cualquier instalación propiedad, arrendada u
operada por la Diócesis o una Entidad Diocesana. CONFORME A LA SECCIÓN 30.06 DEL CÓDIGO PENAL (TRASPASAR PORTANDO ARMAS DE FUEGO) PERSONAS CON LICENCIA BAJO DEL
SUBCAPITULO H, CAPITULO 411, CODIGO DE GOBIERNO (LEY DE PORTAR ARMAS), NO DEBEN ENTRAR A ESTA PROPIEDAD PORTANDO UN
ARMA DE FUEGO.
DE CONFORMIDAD CON LA SECCIÓN 30.07, DEL CÓDIGO PENAL (TRASPASO DE UNA PERSONA CON LICENCIA CON UNA ARMA DE FUEGO
VISIBLE), UNA PERSONA CON LICENCIA BAJO EL SUBCAPÍTULO H, CAPÍTULO 411, DEL CÓDIGO DE GOBIERNO (LEY DE LICENCIAS DE ARMAS
DE FUEGO), NO PODRÁ ENTRAR A ESTA PROPIEDAD CON UNA ARMA DE FUEGO QUE SEA LLEVADA VISIBLEMENTE.
