‘AH5 DIVING HELMET’

CE approved AH5 Diving Helmet, a lightweight high performance and comfortable free flow air diving helmet suitable for hard workingdivers. Can be fitted with its own neckdam or locked directly onto a drysuit.

This Diving Helmet is designed to provide work support for the individual performing tasks underwaterwhich require good communications, head protection and may involve prolonged work in cold or contaminated water.

The handlaid fiberglass-reinforced polyester body of the helmet is the result ofconsiderable study to achieve a streamlined,

swimmable helmet. The existing design is balanced and shaped to achieve a maximumpercentile of fit while maintaining neutralbuoyancy. With the watertight characteristic of the exhaust valve and the unique jocking system,the diver can assume and maintain any positionwith ease.

Vision is provided the diver through a front and top port. The front port provides aexcellent vision for normal tasks when watervisibilitypermits. The top port permits vision when the diver is required to crawl, swim, guide descending equipment and when ascending re-entering a bell or chamber.


KMB BandMask® 18

The fully tested and certified KMB 18 & 28 BandMasks® may be used in mixed gas diving as well as shallow water diving. The SuperFlow® adjustable demand regulators provide low inhalation resistance and high gas flow letting the diver breathe easier and work harder with less exertion. Both masks come standard with the large tube SuperFlow® 350 regulator. The Side Block Assembly of both the KMB 18 and 28 receives the umbilical over the shoulder in the B configuration. They both come standard with the Tri-Valve® exhaust system, and the new BandMask® BandKeepers® The Tri-Valve® Exhaust System has less breathing resistance

than the older single valve exhaust. It retrofits to all previous Kirby Morgan BandMasks®.The BandMask® BandKeepers® coupled with the redesigned hood not only prevent any separation of the hood from the mask but also makes it impossible for the bands to separate from the mask. The communications connections can be either a male waterproof plug in type or bare wire posts. The KMB 28B BandMask® is very similar to the KMB 18. Many parts on the KMB 18B are interchangeable with the KMB 28B. The major difference between the 18 and 28 is the material of the mask frame itself. The KMB 18 has a hand laid fiberglass frame (yellow) while the KMB 28B frame is an extremely durable injection molded plastic (black). The relative ease of production of the KMB 28 frame allows for a lower cost and quicker delivery of this mask. Other differences include: 1) The main exhaust body of the KMB 28 is part of the frame itself and uses a #545-041 main exhaust cover 2) no comfort insert is required on the "28" 3) the face ports for the 18 and the 28 differ slightly in size. CE Certification The Band Mask has been tested and conforms to the performance requirements as set forth in Annex II of Directive 89/686/EEC and, as far as applicable, the EN 250:2000, EN 250/A1:2006 and EN 15333-1:2008 (Class C). Air Train The air train diffuses incoming breathing air/gas onto the face port/lens to defog and ventilate.

Communications Communications are “non-modular” (like the SuperLite 17B helmet). When ordered with male waterproof connector (for 4 wire communications), the mask also includes bare wire posts. When ordered with bare wire posts (for 2 wire communications), the port for the mwp connector is plugged.

Defogging Steady Flow Valve Provides an additional flow of gas into the helmet for ventilation and defogging.

Emergency (EGS) Valve Supplies backup breathing gas to the diver.

KMB BandMask® 18


Gas Supply Non-Return Valve Prevents loss of gas pressure in the event of umbilical damage, preventing a "squeeze".

Head Harness (Spider) Keeps the mask in place on the divers head. The neoprene rubber spider has adjustment holes for varying the tension of the harness.

Nose Block Device Allows the diver to block the nose to equalize ears.

Side Block Multi use side block has additional ports built in to provide controlled air flow, if needed.

Silicone Oral Nasal Mask Made of a superior silicone material which is hypo-allergenic and has a longer work life than latex.

Stainless Steel Bands Bands hold the Hood/Face seal in place on the mask frame. They also provide the mounting studs for the Head Harness (Spider).

SuperFlow® 350 Regulator This all metal, fully adjustable, Commercial Rated™ demand regulator provides easy breathing and excellent performance with low pressure compressors.

Tri-Valve® Exhaust With Whisker Wings Retrofits to many previous Kirby Morgan Helmets and BandMasks®, has less breathing resistance than the older single valve exhaust while providing an extremely dry hat. The Tri-Valve® Exhaust is made of a chemical resistant compound.

KMB BandMask® 28

SuperLite® 17B


The fully tested SuperLite® 17B Commercial Diver's Helmet set the working standard for the commercial diving industry worldwide... Many thousands of underwater hours have proved the design to be dependable, comfortable, extremely rugged, and is Commercial Rated™ and CE certified. The SL-17B has been tested and certified to meet or exceed all requirements for all governing agencies. It is certified for use in diving operations worldwide. The helmet system consists of two pieces: the neck dam-yoke and the helmet. The diver slips on the angled neck dam with the attached yoke. The neck clamp is then slipped onto the helmet and locked. The locking system not only seals the neck

dam to the helmet but also secures the front of the yoke. The SuperLite® 17B also includes the Quad-Valve™ Exhaust System which retrofits to many of the Kirby Morgan® Helmets. It is recommended for diving in biologically contaminated water, when you're properly trained and qualified, using recommended procedures. This new exhaust has exceptionally low exhalation resistance that you must experience to appreciate. The new SL-17A/B Helmet Retainer™ (chin strap) along with the new SL-17A/B Yoke Retainer™ (yoke strap) make it virtually impossible to have the hat come loose. These upgrades are standard on all new SL-17B helmets and will retrofit to all previous SL-17 A/B Helmets. The Side Block Assembly is standard in the B configuration, receiving the umbilical over the shoulder (17B as shown). The SuperLite® 17B offers comprehensive head protection, an adjustable demand breathing system for gas economy, antiflooding features, rapid emplacement, a neck dam clamp that mechanically breaks a low-pressure lock, and a trim to fit angled neck dam which seats the helmet comfortably, especially when working in the face down position. The pull pin neck clamp release provides a system for prevention of accidental helmet removal. SuperFlow® Regulator The 505-027 SuperFlow® "B" regulator on the SuperLite® 17B offers high performance. The regulator has been tested at Dive Lab at Panama City, Florida. It meets all current U.S. Navy and European diving standards.

Fiberglass and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Shell. Kirby Morgan® has over 50 years experience in composite laminations. The helmet shell is hand laid up glass fiber reinforced thermal setting polyester (fiberglass) with carbon fiber reinforcement at key points for added durability. It is light and highly impact resistant, and provides a heat/cold barrier as well as being an excellent electrical nonconductor.

SuperLite® 27


The SuperLite® 27® is the product of years of research and testing. Its design gives the working diver a reliable, and extremely comfortable helmet... Constant research and monitoring of the industry's needs have helped Kirby Morgan® develop products that make the commercial diver's job safer, easier and more productive. Following in this tradition of helmet design is the fully tested SuperLite® 27® diving helmet. The SuperFlow® 350 regulator used on the SuperLite® 27® provides outstanding performance. It features a diver adjustable system so that the regulator can be "tuned" during the dive according to your workload. This adjustment also allows you to set the regulator as the supply pressure varies,

which is especially important when working with a low-pressure compressor. The Tri-Valve® Exhaust System helps to keep the breathing system exceptionally dry under all conditions, without increasing the breathing resistance of the helmet. In addition, the helmet is also equipped with a separate Water Dump valve which is mounted on the left side. The helmet neck ring design, first produced in 1991, allows for evenly distributed weighting of the helmet. The chrome plated machined brass helmet ring houses the latch catches and provides protection for the bottom end of the helmet. The diver is also provided with an internally adjustable chin support. This support, along with the adjustable neck pad on the locking collar, gives the diver a comfortable, secure, custom fit. EXO-BR® Mask


The EXO Full Face Mask was designed for both surface supplied and scuba diving. By enclosing the diver's eyes, nose and mouth, the EXO permits nearly normal speech when used in conjunction with most wireless, and all hardwire underwater communication systems. Its light weight design allows divers to work long dives without jaw or neck fatigue. This mask has a modular communications design that permits rapid and simple maintenance. An optional Hard Shell gives added surfaces for mounting lights, cameras etc. The ear equalization device, a nose block which is adjustable to several different heights, fits a wide variety of noses and faces. The oral nasal helps keep the CO2 levels to a minimum and improves breathing and communications.

The BALANCED REGULATOR EXO-BR was developed to meet strict new European CE requirements and is fully CE approved as well as U.S. Navy approved. It meets and surpasses EN 250 requirements for regulator performance. The EXO-BR frame is the same safety yellow as the standard SuperLite Helmets and KMB 18 Bandmasks. The EXO-BR Balanced Regulator helps reduce the work of breathing for the diver. The regulator balances the intermediate air pressure against the valve sealing pressure inside the regulator. This enables the regulator to instantly adjust to changes in line pressure. The Balanced Regulator provides improved breathing and is adjustable for a wide range of intermediate pressures between 100 PSI - 230 PSI. Features

Communications Module The EXO-BR is available in 3 different modular communication configurations: No communications (blank module), Bare wire post communications, or the most popular; 4 pin mail waterproof connector (pictured) when a 4 wire "round robin" system is desired (see spares, 315-215). Compatible wireless systems are available through several different manufacturers.

EXO Skeleton Frame A strong injection molded plastic external frame gives the head harness an even pull completely around the mask seal. The EXO skeleton does not touch the diver's face. It is suspended just slightly off the face to hold the communication and breathing equipment in place without discomfort.

EXO-BR Balanced Regulator CE approved as well as U.S. Navy approved. It meets and surpasses EN 250 requirements for regulator performance.

EXO-BR® Mask


Head Harness A pull through fixed buckle type with an automatic locking feature. Quick release buckles are featured on each rugged, double wide strap.

Mask Seal Comprises the main rubber body of the mask. It is a soft neoprene that seals comfortably on the diver's face. The EXO skeleton is used to hold this soft rubber seal in place on the diver's face for a solid seal.

Regulator Adjustment Provides demand regulator adjustment for a wide range of incoming air pressure. In addition, it can serve as a steady flow valve. Some divers prefer a slight steady flow on surface supplied air when air consumption is not a factor.


M-48 MOD 1


The M-48 Mod 1 is the next generation of the popular original M-48 mask. It still features the unique 2-cavity design. This allows the lower pod to be removed while topside to conserve air, and allows normal speech while diving. It may also be used with a variety of different communication systems. The lower pod is also removable under water to allow making gas switches, and to share gas in the event of an emergency. The evolution of the mask has given way to a dramatic increase in visibility, an improved buckle system, 5 leg straps, a mechanical equalizing device, and a variety of options for mounting external components, (lights, cameras etc.).

All of the components have been strengthened to bring this mask to a commercial level of ruggedness you will not find in ANY other lightweight full face mask. Future innovations for the mask are underway and because this mask has many available mounting options, it will be able to accept new components by Kirby Morgan, thus making it truly MODULAR. M-48 Supermask


The patented Kirby Morgan SuperMask® is a lightweight modular full face mask that allows for easy and rapid adaptation to various self-contained underwater breathing apparatuses as well as surface supplied systems. The mask frame and rigid components are made of high impact plastic. The face seal is made of the highest quality silicone and conforms to the diver's face. The modular removable mouth pod is designed to quickly interchange allowing the diver multiple breathing gas options. The mask is also designed to accept various wireless communications configurations. The removable lower pod is a feature unique to the SuperMask®. When diving, the pod is easily removed and

replaced on the mask for diver capability to buddy-breathe, use a snorkel or an octopus or perform an "in water" gas switch. With the pod sealed to the mask, the flexible, silicone pod cover allows the diver to quickly place the regulator mouthpiece into the mouth or dive with it free of the mouth for communications. This reduces the possibility of a backup diver rushing and placing the mask on improperly, wasting precious time during a life-or-death situation. For instructors, the Surface Breathing Vent saves time and energy by allowing them to talk through the vent and not having to remove their mask. Maintenance is simple. There is only one moving part. Simply freshwater rinse the Surface Breathing Vent along with the full-face mask. Periodically grease the "O" rings, and you're done! Installation is easy. To place the Surface Breathing Vent on an AGA full-face mask, simply remove the communications port cover by removing the two screws that attach the cover. Frequently Asked Questions Will I get water into my mask if I forget to close it?You will get a little bit, but the pressure from the mask will prevent your full face mask from flooding.
