Classes are open to all third, fourth and fifth grade students in Grant County. • June 4 – 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. • Early Drop-off – 7:30 a.m. / Late Pick-up – 3 p.m. (extra fee) at Mason-Corinth Elementary This program offers chil- dren the opportunity to pursue academic interests and strengthen skills relevant to their educational pursuits. The classes are challenging and provide authentic hands-on learning experiences. The excellent and caring instruc- tors encourage creative think- ing and development of stu- dent interests. The program offers a variety of classes in science, mathematics, tech- nology, arts, music, physical education and original inter- disciplinary studies. Students choose their own classes on a first-come first-served basis. Learn basic sparring and archery skills. Participate in theoretical and in depth conversations about present day society, uniformi- ty, clicks, and peer pressure. Third class at 12:30 to 2 p.m. Step up your Game, Basketball Instructor - Kendall Burk Participants will learn and improve the fundamentals of basketball, staying active and having fun. Development of basketball drills to improve their basic skills, play fun mini-games that will chal- lenge their newly developing skills, and play in organized, structured scrimmages to test out their abilities against one another. Gamers Delight Instructor - Sara Edwards Show your skills and share your knowledge and games with others in this fun filled course. A Nintendo Wii will be offered and other screens for students to share their abil- ities of gaming. Students in this class will use their bodies and minds to interact with video games. Mixed Media in Art Instructor - Mary Conrad Common practices with mixing up art media and learning artist that have incor- porated this practice into their art. Participants will learn uses of fabrics and metal demonstrated in art. Absorb ordinary knowledge of local useful tools and creativity to make individualized art. Students will learn the basics of car maintenance, how to change oil, how to change a tire, how to refill and check fluids, and the use of jumper cables.
