The role of facility operations is evolving with advancements in technology requiring operations to be engaged beyond their traditional functional boundaries in a cross functional role for increased business agility. Transitioning a project from construction to live operations is a challenging and dynamic process.

DLB works with our clients to understand their turnover, occupancy, and operational needs; many times it is discovered that there are great benefits to early occupancy.

EARLY OCCUPANCY PROTOCOL & RISK MITIGATION

DLB has often customized an approach allowing projects to be turned over in prioritized stages rather than waiting for 100% completion, thus maximizing flexibility and revenue.

Many times in a phased handover scenario, construction activities occur in parallel with client operations. Proactive measures are taken to help mitigate the risks associated with ongoing construction in this live environment through effective planning, communication, and oversight.

PROCEDURE DEVELOPMENT

Operating a facility without pre-developed, vetted and approved procedures introduces UNNECESSARY RISK and VULNERABILITY. To prevent sole reliance on reactive heroics, DLB provides a proactive and structured approach to procedures.
