Activity 2
Linear and circular DNA, Single-stranded and double-stranded
Most prokaryotic organisms have a closed circular double-stranded DNA, i.e., their DNA essentially has no ends. It assumes a twisted shape and is termed type I. Type II DNA is rare in nature; the DNA chains have a break, thus eliminating the twist. The nuclear DNA of eukaryotic organisms is a linear double-stranded DNA (type III) with two ends. DNA shape in nature is a major difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms http://csls-text3.c.u-tokyo.ac.jp/active/06_05.htmlHow DNA encoded information governs expression of phenotype

3.2 Tabulate the difference between RNA and DNA.
Restriction enzymes can protect bacteria against viral DNA
Activity of restriction and methylase enzymes. Restriction enzyme EcoRI cleaves within the recognition sequence if the DNA is unmethylated. On methylation by methylases, the restriction enzyme EcoRI is inhibited from cleaving within the restriction site.RECOMBINANT DNA
