CEO’s Note

Religious festivals are innate part of

our lives. In fact these festivals are a

way of passing our cultural heritage

from one generation to another.

However, these festivals have a deep

impact on our environment. Some of

firecrackers, immersing offerings in the river etc create

much pollution. Initially traditional festivals were about

cleaning our homes and enhancing the natural beauty

around us. With time these festivals have become

highly unsustainable in nature.

I believe that respecting and conserving nature is at the

core of all our traditions. That is why many plants, trees

and rivers are considered holy and are worshiped in

India. The old customs which always complimented the

environment should be brought back in practice.

I wish all these festivals will bring more happiness in

your lives and I also hope that you will do your bit to

make the festive celebration Eco-friendly.
