USA Victorious In 2014 Nike Hoop SummitUSA Victorious In 2014 Nike Hoop Summit• With the game tied at 61-all after three quarters, the USA outscored the World Team

23-11 in the last 10 minutes to secure an 84-73 win on April 12 in Portland, Oregon.• Justise Winslow, led with 16 points off the bench and six rebounds, Kelly Oubre scored

14 points, as did Jahlil Okafor, who added 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double.• Tyus Jones dished out a game-high six assists and scored 10 of his 13 points in the

2014 FIBA U17 World2014 FIBA U17 WorldChampionshipChampionship• The USA will be looking for a third-

straight gold medal from Aug. 8-16 inDubai, United Arab Emirates, and to protect its 16-0 record at the event.

• The USA once again will be led by DonDonShowalterShowalter , who has won five goldmedals with the USA DNT since 2009.

•  Training camp is July 24-Aug. 7, and the12-man roster, which will be comprisedof DNT members (see roster on page 5)is expected to be named on July 27.

• To be eligible for this team, playersmust have been born on or after Jan. 1, 1997.

2014 FIBA Americas U182014 FIBA Americas U18ChampionshipChampionship• Taking place at the U.S. Olympic Training

Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado,from June 20-24, the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship will qualifyfour teams for the 2015 FIBA U19 WorldChampionship, and the USA will be looking to win a third-straight gold.

• Twenty-one players are set for trainingcamp to begin on June 10, 14 finalistsare expected to be announced on June12 and the 12-member roster will be chosen prior to the start of competition.

Before returning to their respective hometowns, the members of the 2012 USA Men’s U17 WorldChampionship Team celebrated their gold-medal performance by visiting a USA Men’s National Teampractice in Las Vegas, where the U.S. men were preparing for the 2012 London Olympics.
