will be made. This process takes approximately 15-30 minutes.

Your provider will use an otoscope to examine your outer ear and

ear canal. A small cotton or foam block will be placed fairly deep

into the ear canal. This block will prevent any of the silicone

material from coming into contact with your ear drum.

The silicone mixture will be inserted into the ear, and will harden

in a few minutes. After the silicone has become hard, your

provider may ask you to open and close your mouth to loosen the

seal between the silicone impression and your ear. The hardened

silicone will be gently removed from your ear. This impression will

be sent to a manufacturer to create your new customized hearing

protection!
