OVERVIEWAlways in touch, Optus MobileSat® makes simultaneous voice and data communication easy! We’ve got you covered. With an all-in-one solution, users can send and receive voice calls and SMS, and access email, the internet and other applications – all whilst on the move! The antenna can be permanently or magnetically mounted to the roof of any suitable vehicle. And providing that a direct line of sight to the satellite can be established, Optus MobileSat® provides satellite reception regardless of where you are travelling in Australia or New Zealand.

VOICE AND DATA TOGETHER Optus MobileSat® provides you with communication when you’re on-the-move. It consists of three fully integrated parts – a transceiver, IP handset and a roof-mountable antenna. It’s designed to be used in noisy environments such as trucks, vans, tractors and other earth moving equipment. We’ve also provided a MobileSat® Amplified Extension Speaker to enhance the volume of the hands free option when you’re really making a racket!

COMMUNICATION – IN AN INSTANT!The antenna has built-in magnetic mounts, or it can be permanently mounted to the vehicle. After the antenna is attached to the roof, it is connected to the MobileSat® terminal. The IP

handset is then switched on, and you’re good to go! When using the Voice and Data terminal and connecting it to your PC, the vehicle is turned into your own mobile communication hub. And the best thing? No technical expertise or training is needed to be able to set up and use the terminal.

NICE AND COMPACTThe auto tracking antenna is compact and lightweight, robust and durable. And it’s ideal for vehicles on-the-move. The terminal comes in two different versions: a voice only terminal (enables voice and SMS) and a Voice and Data Terminal (also enables fax and data). We know you might decide that you want fax and data later on, so you’re able to upgrade to the Voice and Data Terminal (from the Voice only terminal) by contacting Optus. We’ll help you purchase a software key which will upgrade you.

MobileSat® does not enable BGAN streaming data. Sending and receiving SMS is not guaranteed to or from other networks. 1900 services are not available using MobileSat®. Premium SMS (PSMS) is not available using MobileSat®. Satellite service is not guaranteed in any location even while in coverage area.
