I go to a church up Arden way, It's a nice group of people I’ll have to say.There are some young folks thereAnd some older too, and quite a few with little hair.

But they’re good folks, you know. Like many in these mountains where the soft winds blow.We have elders and deacons like the Bible says to do.We have teachers and preachers who say the Bible is true.

So it looks like we're doing what is rightTo please our God and we don’t fight----So why do we need a revival?

We put our offerings in the Sunday plate,We take communion like the Apostles ate;We mow the yard and keep the church neatSo we’ll have the proper place to meet.So why do we need a revival?

Now Brother Ric is our preacher manAnd he can preach as good as the best of them can.He puts a lot of work into making the word clear;People ought to come from far and near.

But they don’t, you see, cause “other things come up”--“Grandma’s coming,” “it might rain,” “gotta cook dinner,” “I have a sick pup”These are excuses and I’ve heard them all,They come from all sources, but they don’t want you to callAnd remind them of what they missed today. Might make them feel guilty, and that’s not OK.

Well, the last time I read God’s word, He’s still there and He’s still Lord.And He’s counting on us to get the word out--Don’t you see? -- YES, we need a revival!

We live in a country where we are free to say What’s on our hearts from day to day --

I’m getting phone calls about the election --My goodness! You’d think it was the resurrection!

But I think we better be talking about Jesus our Lord --He’s the one who will save you by His word.No Republican or Democrat has had the abilityTo transform my soul into peace and tranquility.SO---Do we need a revival?

It’s time to get up off your duff--Go out and spread the good stuffAnd that is about Jesus and His saving graceSo when you meet Him face to faceHe will say "Well done, my child, enter inWhere you are set free from all your sin.”

We’re all sinners and need God’s mercy and power,‘Cause we and the angels are quite a bit lowerthan He who has cleansed us from iniquity.And our Advocate, Jesus, says, “You are not guilty.”I want that---don’t you?So yes!!! WE NEED A REVIVAL!

I pray every member of Oak Grove Christian ChurchWill be in a pew next Sunday--this I urge--Come with a very open heart And vow to make a whole new startOf being faithful each Lord’s dayAround His table to feast and pray.To remember what He did for us on Calvary’s hill--Bow your head in Thanksgiving and be very stillThen lift your hands in holy praise--Don’t let it just be a phase--

But make an honest, earnest vowThat you’ll serve Him faithfully, not just nowBut through all eternity to comeWhen He takes you home To dwell with Him by the Throne of GodBy the beautiful river in Heaven above.

Do we need a revival? You bet we do!We need to fill every seat and all the pews too.

It will mean you have a heart for the LordAnd will do His bidding according to His word.

You will let His fire refine your soulAnd then make Heaven your only goal.

So now GO, teach, baptize and teach some more,There are lost souls waiting out there galore!Let’s have a revival first in the house here,Then go after the lost sheep far and near.

LET’S HAVE A REVIVAL!!!!
