As a high performing CCC student with FLVS, you have the opportunity to take the certification
exams for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel …FREE of charge to you! (These exams are
approximately $90 per test) For each test that you pass, you can say that you are a ‘certified
user’. If you pass all 3, you will be given the title of a MOS Specialists! This honor is looked
highly upon by colleges and employers.
FLVS will also pay for the study material needed to help you prepare. Once a student obtains
an 800 or higher on the practice exam, your teacher will provide you with a test voucher that
you will take with you to a local Certiport Testing Center – but make sure you are ready; FLVS
cannot pay for re-take tests. Many public high schools and colleges can accommodate these
tests. Appointments are required and proctor fees must be paid by participates (if applicable).
You can find local testing centers on the Certiport website. Below is a list of necessary system
requirements for the mandatory practice tests:
Windows Systems: Windows 2000, XP, Vista
Display Settings: Lower Limit: 1024 x 768 dpi / Upper Limit: 1600 x 1200 dpi
Dual-monitor displays are not supported
Hard Disk Space: 3 MB
Internet Connection: High Speed required
