I'm glad to be here today to explain you about the passive voice.

Passive voice is used when the focus is on the action. It is not important or not known, however, who or what is performing the action.

Like this:

you know that "Architecture is considered an art"

in active voice, it would be like: "They consider architecture, an art."

In the example above of passive voice, the focus is on the fact that The architecture is considered an art. I do not know, however, who consider that.

The agent is not always used in passive sentences.

and with this, you see something more about the passive voice, like in the example I did, in some cases the passive voice is more polite than active voice.

As you see, the object of an active sentence becomes the subject of a passive voice.

You know, i'm studying architecture

But you know that the buildings are built by engineers, but they are designed by architects."

In this example, I used the agent to give additional information.

You can find structures designed by architects everywhere, the park next to your house, the streets, the city hall, the church, the bridges, and talking about bridges, here's another example:

San miguel bridge is made of steel.

in this case we don't have an agent and that's not because we want to omit it, this is because in this example I use a type of passives that are called stative passives. They don't take and agent, and they're often followed by prepositions.

And to finish, I love drawing that's why I choose Architecture, as a career, but when we draw something, we have to use a lot of types of pencils, from 9h to 9b, H for the hardness and B for the darkness, well for black, in my case, I don't get the difference between HB and 2B, there is said to be a big difference between the two pencils.
