CHAIRMAN
DATO’ SHEIKH MOHD ARIFFIN BIN WAN SHEIKH
The Chairman is a retired Senior Police Officer who joined the Royal
Malaysian police as a Probationary Inspector in 1992. A tumultuous
period for the nation at the time, Insp Sheikh Ariffin was sent to the
forefront to deal with the Indonesian ‘confrontation’ and the armed
communist uprising both within the country as well as at the Thai
border.
When the threat to internal security subsided Insp Sheikh was
transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Pahang and
later to Selangor. He was a tireless and dedicated worker who earned
many credits for himself in solving numerous murders and armed
robberies in both states. He finally retired as an Assistant
Superintendent of Police upon reaching the age of 55 years. During his
service in the force he was awarded the PJK and the AMN.
Since his retirement he has been engaged by many organizations as a
security consultant. He has also been active in liaison work for clients
seeking advice in matters relating to police and other government
enforcement agencies. In recognition of his service to the nation he
was awarded the DIMP which carries the title “Dato” by his Royal
Highness the Sultan of Pahang.

GENERAL MANAGER
APPADORAI DORAISAMY, AMN,PPP,PJK
After completing Senior Cambridge, Mr Appadorai Doraisamy served as a teacher for two years before joining the Royal Malaysian Police in 1962 as a Probationary Inspector. Initially he was posted as an Investigating Officer in Kangar and later as the Prosecuting Officer at the same place. In 1965, at the onset of the Indonesian Confrontation he was transferred to the Police Field Force (PFF) as a Platoon Commander and was deployed to various parts of West Malaysia dealing with the foreign invasions. When this external threat was subdued he continued in the PFF, this time actively engaging the armed communist insurrection both within the country as well in Southern Thailand. Two years later he was made an instructor in jungle warfare and served at the PFF training school in Kroh, Ulu Kinta and Kuching.
During his tour in the training schools he was sent to the prestigious School of Infantry in Warminister, England for specialized training in conventional warfare. On his return he was promoted to the rank of an Assistant Superintendant of Police and appointed the Deputy Commandant of the PFF Training School in Ulu Kinta. After almost thirteen years in the PFF he was transferred to Johor Bahru in 1979 as the Officer in Charge of Serious crimes. Other duty posts that followed were: Dy. OCPD Crime of Kuala Terengganu, Dy. OCCI Terengganu, the Dy. Head of Criminal Intelligence Unit at Bukit Aman, Head of Investigations at ROC. Team Head of Commercial Crimes at Bukit Aman, Head of Commercial Crimes Investigations Selangor and Head of Narcotics Division of Selangor. His last posting was at the Management Department at Bukit Aman. In 1997 he retired from the force with the rank of Superintendant of Police.
During his service he was awarded the PJK (1986), the AMN (1988) and the PPP (1996).

GUARD RESPONSIBILITIES
Ÿ To ensure that company property protected is in good condition.
Ÿ To ensure that all documents at security guardhouse are maintained.
Ÿ To check and record all vehicles coming in and out of factory.
Ÿ To ensure that employees do not go out without a gate pass during
working hours.
Ÿ To record all security matters hourly in the station diary.
Ÿ To check all staff and employees going out of the factory.
Ÿ To ensure no company property is taken out without proper
documents.
Ÿ To answer and transfer telephone calls as and when required at the
security guardhouse.
Ÿ To ensure hourly clocking is carried out during the night and on non-
working days.
Ÿ To report all security matters to his supervisors or in his absence to HR
Manager.
Ÿ To carry out such duties as assigned by the superiors from time to
time.

GUARD SELECTION
The selection of guards is based on qualification, experience, age and
health status.
Qualification
Minimum SRP and proficient in B. Malaysia & English.
Experience
Relevant experience in security or Ex-service personnel.
Age
25 to 65 years old
Health
Physically fit and healthy (certified by medical practitioner).
Candidates are further selected specifically to different assignments
based on the customers requirement and needs. After confirming the
basic needs, candidates are interviewed by the managers of
administration and the operation department. The selected candidates
are meticulously screened and their names vetted by the police before
they are deployed for any task.

GUARD TRAINING
All newly selected security personnel are sent for our own in-house
training for a week. On top of the basic training, they are also trained for
specific requirements depending on customers’ needs and
expectations. A team of experienced senior security managers will
conduct the training. The contents of the training module is as follows:-

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. DEPLOYMENT OF SECURITY GUARDS
The Company shall deploy its security personnel at the said premises in accordance
with the prescribed number of security guards required by the customer for the
day and night shifts as agreed in the schedule of service.
The Customer reserves the discretion to vary the time of the shifts and the
prescribed number of security guards from time to time if deemed necessary upon
providing forty eight (48) hours written notice to the company.
2. PERMANENT GUARDS
Immediately upon the commencement of this agreement, the company shall
arrange for assessment and selection of its security guards to be stationed at the
said premises during the term of this Agreement. The assessment and selection
procedures shall include :-
2.1 The Company shall compile and maintain the curriculum vitae together
with passport size photograph and police clearance report of each security
guard.
2.2 The Company shall furnish the list of names of the selected security guards
if requested by customers.
The Customer may request change of any of the security guards if any of them is
subsequently found to be unsuitable.
In the event of any absenteeism of security guards, the Company shall as soon as
practicable arrange suitable replacements upon receiving such notice.
3. COMPETENCY & BRIEFING
The company shall ensure that all of its security guards whether they are
temporarily or permanently stationed at the said premises are competent and
have been properly briefed in measures and procedures pertaining to the Standing
Operating Procedures at the premises.
The Customer shall also consistently brief and keep the Company updated on the
latest standing instruction, house rules, regulations and policies.

4. ENFORCEMENT
The Company shall ensure that all the house rules, regulations and policies set by
the Customer are properly and strictly enforced by the security guards without
prejudice.
5. COMMUNICATION
The Company shall ensure that all of its security guards on duty be able to speak
and write in Bahasa Melayu.
6. FAMILIARITY
The Company shall ensure that all of its security guards become familiar with the
said Premises and the Customers within one (1) week of assuming duty.
7. UNIFORMS & PERSONAL EFFECTS
The Company shall at its own cost provide each security guard the following :-
7.1 Two (2) suits of uniforms
7.2 A headgear (hat,cap or beret)
7.3 A name tag or identification card
7.4 Two (2) pairs of socks
7.5 A pair of black shoes
7.6 A whistle
7.7 A lanyard
7.8 A truncheon and holder
7.9 A notebook and ballpoint pen.
8. TELEPHONE
The Customers shall at its own cost provide and maintain an intercom/telephone at
the guardhouse at all times. The telephone bills incurred shall be borne by the
Customer.
9. WALKIE-TALKIES
The Customer shall if it so desires, at its own cost provide, service and maintain
walkie-talkies for the security guards on duty. The security guards shall at all times
handle the walkie-talkies in a proper and responsible manner.

10. WATCHMAN CLOCKS AND SECURITY PASSES
At all times during the term of this Agreements, the customer shall if it so desires, at
it own cost, provide an adequate number of watchman clocks and the station keys
in its common property in accordance with its latest security survey report
approved by the company.
11. RAINCOATS, UMBRELLAS & TORCHLIGHTS
The company shall its own cost provide an adequate number of suitable raincoats,
umbrellas and torch lights for use by its security guards on duty. If such items are
stolen or damaged whilst in the possession of the security personnel it will be
replaced by the company.
12. FIRST AID KIT
The Customer shall provide at its own cost a standard set of first aid kit to be placed
at the guardhouse for any emergency use.
13. STANDARD OPERATION MANUAL
The Company shall maintain a set of Standard Operation Manuals, which shall be in
either English or Bahasa Malaysia and be kept at the guardhouse or with the
security executive in charge.
The Standard Operation Manual shall be consistent with the rules, regulations and
policies set for the said Premises.
14. DAILY SECURITY REPORT
The security personnel shall maintain a Daily Security Record of the day’s activities
for the customer’s representative and if requested, brief the Customers on the
details of the daily report and the security measures taken for the day. The security
personnel may receive new instructions if any from the customers at the meeting.
The said Daily Security Record should comprise details on attendance of the
security guards, the supplier/contractor workman register, visitor’s register,
control of car parks, control of common facilities, and movement of common
assets, patrolling feedback, problems/complaints encountered and incidents.

15. INCIDENT REPORT
Upon being informed of any loss or damage at the premises the Company shall as
soon as possible inform the Customer. The Company shall, if so requested by the
Customer furnish the Customer a written report of the incident.
16. POLICE REPORTS
The lodging of Police reports if so desired, shall be made by the Customer if they
intend to pursue the matter with their Insurers.
17. SECURITY SURVEY REPORT
The Company may, if requested by the Customer, and upon payment of such fees,
conduct a security survey of the said Premises and prepare a security survey report
for submission to the customer. The purpose of the security survey is two folds,
namely:-
17.1 To identify the weaknesses of the current security system at the said
Premises.
17.2 To make recommendations to improve the system.
17.3 The Customer shall be responsible for any loss or damage to its property if
it chooses to ignore the recommendations made in the report
18. STAFF PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL
The Company shall conduct performance appraisal of its security guards every
three (3) month to keep in line with its objective of maintaining an efficient and
proactive work force.
19. MEETINGS
The Customer may, after having given sufficient notice, and request the presence
of the Company for meetings to discuss matters regarding services under the
contract.
20. INVENTORY AND COMMON PROPERTY
Upon its appointment, the Customer shall hand over the inventory of all fixtures
and fittings installed at the guardhouse located within the common property of the
said Premises. Thereafter any loss or damage to them shall be borne by the
Company unless it can be justified that such loss or damage did not arise out of
their negligence.
