FROM THE SHOW SEGRETARY
This weekend sees us celebrate 25 years of "southern Region Country Classic"
shows. Over the years the shows have been held around the Region in Harden,
Young, Deniliquin, Albury, Temora, Wagga Wagga and most recently at Yerong
Creek. Our first show was a one day event held in L992 in Harden with General
Specials judged by the ANKC President Mr Hugh Gent and the winner being Dot
Williams' Pomeranian Ch Chimere Drop of Brandy.
We have now progressed to a three day event and over the years have utilisedjudges from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Malaysia, the UK and the
Czech Repbulic.
But this is our first truly All-lnternational panel. We welcome our judges: Kinji
Itoi (Japan), Elena Kuleshova (Russia), Kateryna Pereguda (Ukraine), Ann
Cuthbert (lreland), Lynda Matthews {lreland), Carine Buitendach (South Africa)
and Robert Dawson (Korea). We hope they enjoy their stay in our beautiful
country and enjoy their judging assignment.
This is my tenth year as Show Secretary, and in fact the last time I am running
these shows. Over the years I have had fantastic support and help from many
people, too numerous to name individually. However I would like to especially
thank Sarge Salter who without question has stewarded for me at every show.
I also thank my brother lan, who is not a dog person, but has acted as a jack ofall trades by transporting gear, erecting rings, packing up at the end of the
shows, driving judges to and from the airport and their accommodations, etc,
etc, etc.
Thank you to all our sponsors, our amazing fellow exhibitors who have been so
generous in the rosette donations, and to Pam Kilburn and Leslie Weston fortheir donations of our raffle prizes.
I wish everyone a wonderful weekend, happy showing, and a safe journey
home.

Pets Own Milk®
From beginning to end
The Number 1 mother's milk alternative for all Puppies and Kittens
What is Pets 0\\ n?
Pets Own Milk is a specially formulated milk alternative for all Puppies and Kittens. It has had the lactose removed from the milk and additional nutrients added for maximum benefit.
Wh, use Pets 0\\ n Milk'?
Many circumstances arise where a puppy or kitten is not able to access so that both Puppies and kittens can digest it safely without stomach upsets or diarrhoea resulting. Not only does the removal of lactose prevent these uncomfortable occurrences, but also ensures that the puppy and kitten are getting full absorption of all the rich nutrients in the milk.
Pets Own are ready to drink milks that do not require complicated, messy mixing with water like powdered milk substitutes. They are UHT treated so that they can be stored at room temperature on the shelf until opened, after which they have 10 - 14 days shelf life in the fridge. It is also made from real milk, not a chemical concoction. Recent studies are demonstrating that nutrients from naturally occurring sources are far better absorbed and utilized in the body than contrived chemical blends. This is because many important nutrients require the presence of other nutrients to be

effective. Powdered blends that require mixing have to be accurately combined to avoid over or under supply of certain nutrients. They are usually hard to mix into a liquid and lumpy pieces often render much of the resulting liquid unpalatable.
The palatability of Pets Own is unsurpassed. Breaking up the lactose molecule into two smaller sugars, makes the milk slightly sweeter. That and the selected fatty acids ensure that no cat or dog will ever refuse a serve of Pets Own Milk.
Ornhaned and \\eaning Animals
Many breeders and pet owners have used Pets Own Milks to raise orphaned animals (puppies, kittens and wild life), with fantastic results. Pets Own can be used as a l 00% food source for new-horns with results (including weight gain, growth and appearance) that wi II surpass all other milk substitutes. Many orphans raised on Pets Own Milk alone have gone on to win shows.
Punnics and Mature Animals
There is no need to stop feeding Pets Own Milk to weaned puppies and kittens or mature cats and dogs. The goodness of the formulations still provides excelJent benefits. There are different formulations for different ages and low fat milk for overweight animals. To ensure adequate fluid intake (particularly cats and dogs fed a lot of dry food) always have some Pets Own Milk available.
