“A pet is a household animal kept for companionship and a person's enjoyment.” Cats and dogs are the two most popular pets. They both are similar and different in many ways. They have different needs and attitudes but at the same time, both of them need love and care from their owners.

Do not need to be trained to use litter box, they clean themselves naturally

They can entertain themselves and do not need someone to play with them

Dogs will put their life on the line to protect their owners. If

someone tries to break into your house, dogs will alert you and your neighbors by barking or even attacking the stranger.

Cats might meow at night but they are not as loud as dogs. They wont disturb you or your neighbors at night or during the day. However, most of the time, they wont alert you if someone tries to break into your house

SIMILARITIES

Page 13: Dogs vs. Cats

Both cats and dogs require companionship from their owners

Need to get regular shots from the vet to keep them healthy

Can get bored so you’ll need to buy them a toy

have relatives in the wild so they are both good hunters

Dogs can hunt moles in your garden

Cats can catch rats in your house.

Page 14: Dogs vs. Cats

Both cats and dogs do get fleas and ticks so they need some attention from their owners.

Both cats and dogs are carnivores so they eat meat

Both cats and dogs are domestic animals so when their kittens

and puppies are born, they need a lot of care from humans.

When you’re depressed, they’ll always be by your side. Dogs might not be able to talkto you and help you solve your problems like another human can, but they can lie on your lap or sit next to you for hours until you feel better. Cats are m not much different. When m you’re depressed, cats will be m there for you just like how a m dog would no matter how m cold or distant they may seem.
