Consult your directory and call by number only. If name of party is not listed ask operator for number.

Before using a party line, take down receiver and ask if line is busy. If line is clear, hang up receiver and signal operator by giving one short ring. Do not ring again under fifteen seconds as signals put in too quickly in succession may be mistaken by operator for party ring and disregarded.

Use of line is restricted to five minutes except on long distance calls. Parties using the line longer that this on local calls will be disconnected without notice if line is wanted for other business.

When finished speaking, hang up receiver and give one short ring.
