The DOMOTEX Digital Days were meant to offer a unique and high-quality platform for business and networking to the floor-ing industry. At the beginning of the conceptual phase, a digital DOMOTEX 2021 was received with support and commitment from the exhibitors. A few weeks before the event date, however, there is both a certain “digital fatigue” and an increasing desire for face-to-face meetings in the industry.
The demand for digital formats in the industry has been met by now. Furthermore, despite the pandemic - or in parts because of it - exhibitors are reporting a healthy order book.
Deutsche Messe has therefore decided to cancel the DOMOTEX DIGITAL DAYS 2021 in May. The next DOMOTEX will take place from 13 to 16 January 2022 as a hybrid event at the exhibition grounds in Hannover.

Year after year, HANNOVER MESSE is the showcase for industry and a catalyst for future topics such as AI, sustain-able production and 5G. As a purely digital event, this year's HANNOVER MESSE served two roles: it revealed not only the future of industry, but also demonstrated what tradeshows will look like going forward.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the world's leading tradeshow for industry on Monday together with Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia. The 1,800 par-ticipating companies presented 10,500 products and innova-tions to 90,000 registered participants. The conference featured 1,500 experts discussing topics such as Industry 4.0, digitaliza-tion of industrial processes, supply chain management, light-weight construction, hydrogen, and electromobility.
The next HANNOVER MESSE runs from 25 to 29 April 2022. Portugal is Partner Country.

Due to the pandemic, The smarter E Europe and its four concurrent energy exhibitions Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe will no longer take place from July 21–23, 2021. Instead, The smarter E Europe Restart 2021 will be staged at Messe München from October 6–8.
