TCC currently offers two liberal arts degree concentrations Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, and Humanities and the Environment . Changes in Native American Voting Behavior: The Casino Connection? Facilitator: Tracy Skopek …….….South Meeting Room, Student Union Native Americans traditionally have turned out to vote at lower rates than other citizens. This research examines recent changes in voting behavior among Native Americans and offers a preliminary discussion of possible causes for the change, most notably the rise of casino gaming.

The reason we focus course work within academic disciplines is to create a depth of understanding within our students of a body of knowledge that we define as our discipline. We have limited time and access to the students to create this rigor. The challenge of integrating knowledge landscapes from other disciplines is largely one of efficiency versus effectiveness. Sustainability creates a platform for engaging in discussions and exploration of knowledge across disciplines while enhancing the power of the home discipline in addressing complex, integrated problems.

Deaf Community, American Sign Language and their Culture Facilitator: Glenna Cooper…………………………...A108, Enterprise ASLE Program will discuss the unique Deaf Community, which comprises the deaf individuals who share a common language, common experiences, and values, and a common way of interacting with each other and with hearing people. We see Deaf students on campus, but we need to understand who the Deaf community is.

Why Is It That Way? How the History of English Has Beaten Up the Language
