/ Meeting the donor– our impressionDonor Maxwell is a loving family dad and radiates calmness and maturity. Maxwell explains that he prefers to be reserved when meeting new people for the first time, instead of appearing too forthcoming. He is open and positive towards everyone, but prefers to let people come to him at their own pace.  At the clinic, we have gotten to know Maxwell as an empathic person who has a lot of knowledge about life and who finds comfort within himself and wants to do his part in making sure others are well. Since his childhood Maxwell has been fascinated by

creating something with his hands and he is good at it. He feels that it gives a huge sense of satisfac-tion when building something yourself. As a child, he wanted to be a carpenter. He chose to listen to his parents advice however, and got a commercial examination. Maxwell’s best friend has had a child with the help of fertility treatment. It was his friend’s experiences that set some thoughts in motion and motivated him to sign up to become a donor. When you have kids yourself, you know how big it is becoming a parent. He says, “It just makes so much sense to help others have their biggest wish fulfilled.” Sport and an active lifestyle has always filled a lot in Maxwell’s life. He partakes in soccer, handball and golf. Maxwell sees sport as a relaxing time in every-day life where you can enjoy your time with others and burn off some energy.  Maxwell also has good genes to pass on when it comes to his outward appearance. What are you most proud of and why?I am most proud of my two wonderful boys because they are a result of my me and my wife. Apart from our natural genes, we have given them a good upbringing so they put a price on and know the good values

Describe your fondest childhood memory It must be the many good times with my grandparents who are unfortunately no longer with us. You were always welcome at them and it was a wonderful place to relax. This included both when I visited them and also when we went on trips together

What did you dream of becoming as a child?As a child, I dreamt of becoming a carpenter.I often visited a carpenter workplace with my dad as a child and I felt that there was some-thing very fascinating about being able to use your hands to build things. However, I never become a carpenter, but I still love working with making things myself.

Describe your relationship with your family?I love my family more than anything in the world and we have a close bond between us. We use each other a lot and can always help each other when we are in need of it

What does your family mean to you?My family means so much to me and has always meant a lot to be. With the many years that have passed, we have as a family only continued to become closer and this means a lot to me. In the same way I wish to create my own family

What does friendship mean to you?My friends also mean a lot. I have a wide cir-cle of friends where I am very close with a few of them. I have been very close to them for 15 years and don’t think we will ever grow apart

What kind of friend are you?Humor is something that fills a lot. It is impor-tant to have fun so we make sure that we do. But through life there are both ups and downs, and when the downs appear, I am someone who supports my friends so that they know they will never have to stand alone

How would your friends and family describe you?I think they would describe me as a very com-passionate person, who willingly puts others before myself. They will probably also say that I am helpful and supportive with all kinds of things when they are in need of it
