CUANDO LAS IMÁGENES HABLAN

“Yo soy” dice la pintura. Sin ninguna palabra más. Es la pura expresión, lo que existe y en lo que se apoya el entendimiento, es la fuente de imaginación, que asume todo origen.
La imagen es la razón por la que las cosas se crean, se imaginan y concentran dentro de nuestro pequeño mundo, haciéndolo más agradable, por más sencilla que sea una ilustración, pintura, boceto o foto, expresa todo su esplendor lo que puede decir y dar a entender sin pronunciar nada mas que reflejar sus colores dando a entender lo que quiere decir.
La pintura es la unidad que no desaparece ni se diluye dentro del planeta aunque tenga mu-chas hermanas, madres, primas o hijas; siempre será única, diferente, inigualable, persistente, dando una probadita de lo que existe en las profundidades de nuestra mente y nuestros sue-ños, un atardecer, el océano, el cielo y la tierra.
El sentimiento que te respiras a través de una imagen es especial, te mueve, te inspira, te emo-ciona y provoca que todo tu interior se sacuda de forma inigualable y cuando llega al corazón, explota derramando su color por dentro del cuerpo.
Tan solo imaginar que esto no existiera estaríamos vacíos, aburridos, cansados, agotados de lo estruendoso que es nuestro mundo, la pintura es la que nos permite escapar de nuestra realidad dejando volar la imaginación para que se exprese sin límites o reglas, no nos permite creer estar solos.

trador y artista visual residente en Kuala Lumpur,
Malasia.

DoodleMA doodle is an unfocused drawing made while a
person’s attention is otherwise occupied. Doo-
dles are simple drawings that can have concrete
representational meaning or may just be abstract
shapes. Stereotypical examples of doodling are
found in school notebooks, often in the margins,
drawn by students daydreaming or losing interest
during class. Other common examples of doo-
dling are produced during long telephone conver-
sations if a pen and paper are available.
Popular kinds of doodles include cartoon versions
of teachers or companions in a school, famous TV
or comic characters, invented fictional beings,
landscapes, geometric shapes and patterns, tex-
tures, banners with legends, and animations made
by drawing a scene sequence in various pages of
a book or notebook.
The word doodle first appeared in the early 17th
century to mean a fool or simpleton. It derives from
the German dudeln, to play (originally, to play the
bagpipe or dudel). German variants of the etymon
include Dudeltopf, Dudentopf, Dudenkopf, Dude
and Dödel. American English dude may be a deri-
vation of doodle.
The meaning “fool, simpleton” is intended in the
song title “Yankee Doodle”, originally sung by Brit-
Un doodle es un dibujo hecho sin atención, mien-
tras la atención de una persona está ocupada en
otra cosa. Doodles son dibujos sencillos que pu-
eden tener un significado concreto de represent-
ación o simplemente pueden ser formas abstrac-
tas. Algunos ejemplos de garabatos se encuentran
en los cuadernos de la escuela, a menudo en los
márgenes, elaborado por los estudiantes de so-
ñar despierto o perder el interés durante la clase.
Otros ejemplos comunes de garabatos se produ-
cen durante las conversaciones telefónicas de
larga si un lápiz y papel están disponibles.
Algunos garabatos son versiones de dibujos
animados de los maestros o compañeros de la
escuela, la televisión o personajes de cómic, in-
ventado los seres de ficción, paisajes, formas
geométricas y patrones, texturas, pancartas con
leyendas, y las animaciones hacen con una se-
cuencia de escenas en distintas páginas de un li-
bro o un cuaderno.
La palabra doodle(garabato) apareció en el siglo
XVII en el sentido de un tonto o sopenco. Se deri-
va de la dudeln alemán, para jugar (originalmente,
a tocar la gaita o dudel). Variantes alemanas de
la etimología incluyen Dudeltopf, Dudentopf,
Dudenkopf, Dude y Dodel. En el Inglés puede ser
una derivación de garabatos.

lutionary War. This is also the origin of the early
eighteenth century verb to doodle, meaning “to
swindle or to make a fool of”. The modern mean-
ing emerged in the 1930s either from this meaning
or from the verb “to dawdle”, which since the sev-
enteenth century has had the meaning of wasting
time or being lazy.
In the movie Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, Mr. Deeds
mentions that “doodle” was a word made up to
describe scribblings to help a person think. Ac-
cording to the DVD audio commentary track,
the word as used in this sense was invented by
screenwriter Robert Riskin. Internet giant Google
has given a new dimension to the word by having
“doodles” in its main page on certain acclaimed
occasions.
According to a study published in the scientific
journal Applied Cognitive Psychology, doodling
can aid a person’s memory by expending just
enough energy to keep one from daydreaming,
which demands a lot of the brain’s processing
power, as well as from not paying attention. Thus,
it acts as a mediator between the spectrum of
thinking too much or thinking too little and helps
focus on the current situation. The study was
donebyProfessorJackieAndrade,oftheSchool
of Psychology at the University of Plymouth, who
reported that doodlers in his experiment recalled
7.5 pieces of information (out of 16 total) on aver-
age, 29% more than the average of 5.8 recalled by
the control group made of non-doodlers.
El significado de “tonto, sopenco” que se pre-
tende en el título de la canción “Yankee Doodle”,
originalmente cantada por las tropas coloniales
británicas antes de la guerra revolucionaria ameri-
cana. Este es también el origen del verbo siglo
XVIII para dibujar, que significa “estafa o de hacer
el ridículo”. El significado moderno surgió en la
década de 1930 ya sea de esta o de significado
del verbo “perder el tiempo”, que desde el siglo
XVII ha tenido el significado de perder el tiempo
o la pereza.
En la película Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, Mr. Deeds
menciona que “doodle” fue una palabra compu-
esta para describir garabatos para ayudar a una

de no prestar atención. Por lo tanto, actúa como
mediador entre el pensar demasiado o pensar de-
masiado poco y ayuda a concentrarse en la situ-
ación actual. El estudio fue realizado por el profe-
sorJackieAndrade,delaFacultaddePsicología
de la Universidad de Plymouth, quien informó que
garabatos en su experimento, recordó 7,5 piezas
de información (de un total de 16 en total), en
