Festival Week 2016

Welcome back folks - here we go again! The Committee very much look forward to seeing you all again during our busy week. This year we run from Monday 8th August through to Saturday 13th August. We have a busy week of events, and hopefully something for everyone. Last year we were blessed with glorious sunshine for the whole week, and all events were well attended, hopefully this year we will be lucky again. At our annual children’s disco held in June we had our special guest Helen Kruger help us chose this years Princess, Princess Attendant and Prince. It was a difficult choice, as always, but the lucky ones chosen are Poppy Ross as our Princess, Innes McAffer as our Prince, and Lexi Mackay as our Princess Attendant. We look forward to their official crowning on the evening of Monday 8th at The Marquee 6pm and hopefully seeing them throughout the week. We took some photographs of our trio in between the showers one night in June so look out for their pictures throughout the programme. Like last year we would like you to create a float for the Saturday parade but as we are Celebrating 400 years of Golf, we would like it to be a Golf theme. We would love to encourage as many as possible to join in so this year the winning float will win a £100.00 prize!! Come on…you can do it, still plenty time to get a float organised!! There will also be cash prizes for the best fancy dress taking part in the junior and adult pram races, again this is a golf theme! We would love to see you taking part! As always, it just remains to thank you all for coming along, supporting all the events, and making the week fantastic fun. Massive thanks also to those extra volunteers who jump in and help, we couldn’t do it without you. The Committee would be delighted to hear from you if you have any comments or ideas for the future – you can contact us through Facebook or on email at [email protected].

Have a Wonderful Week!
