Here, the model is presented as the ideal rock chick. This reinforced by the dark shadowy eye makeup and her punk attire consisting of a black leather jacket, paired with more black accessories. The overall look, gives the impression that she is a care free, rebellious young adult-hence the subheading ‘wild child’. Whilst her dark attire creates a bad girl image, her bleach blonde hair gives the illusion of an angelic aura, in some ways making her live up to the idea that she is still a ‘child’ regardless of the fact that she is ‘wild’.

Furthermore, the models care-free characteristics are further reinforced by her relaxed posture. However, she also sports a sensual, sexy look as well. In addition, her gaze is designed to be directed towards the reader’s viewpoint. This establishes a relationship between the reader and the model.

Here, the word ‘wild’ is written in a red edgy font, to highlight the dangers of being ‘wild’ and careless. The sense of rebellion and carelessness created by the term is further reinforced by the rough outlining of the font.

The page spread follows a consistent colour scheme consisting of black, white and red; helping establish a house style. The important issues on the page are coloured in red. E.g. the question bits on the interview on interview are in red, to highlight its importance; as a result, it alerts the reader’s attention. In the same way the answers are written in white to ensure that it stands out form the dark, black background. In addition, this helps maintain the pages colour scheme on all aspects the double page spread.

Like other double page spreads this one starts the article off with the use of a large letter at the beginning of the articles first sentence. This gives the article a nice and bold start for the article and helps divert the readers gaze to the article text encouraging them to read it. Furthermore, the article is conventionally structured in columns so that the reader aren’t overwhelmed by amount of text on the page, the columns break the text into segments to create the illusion that there isn’t really a lot of text to read. It also gives the page more of a structured layout which helps makes the page less chaotic.

The fact that the artists take up a whole side of the page suggests that she is the most significant figure on this page and that article is all about her as an artist. In addition before the interview text starts, there is a short introductory paragraph underneath the title that gives the reader an idea of what the article about by introducing the artist; this is further complimented by the main image that is the most prominent aspect on the pa

The page contains three very different images of Florence in which she possess a different pose. In each she reveals a different aspect of her personality. She is presented as a fun loving care free person who expresses herself freely. On the second image, placed in the middle of the page she composes a majestic pose, stretching her arms out gracefully. She lives up to her title as ‘The Queen of Quirky’ presenting herself as ‘royalty’. Having been described as ‘The Queen of Quirky’, the other images she maintains quirkier poses, highlighting her bright, care-free attitude.

Furthermore, the white background displays a sense of innocence as well. White has connotations of wealth and this adds a professional feel to the page spread; it is kept simple and sophisticated. It also allows the images shown on this page to speak for themselves without the need of dominating colour scheme.

The Colour scheme of orange, red and white is clearly presented on the page. The elements of orange in them page are further reinforced through Florence’s hair (Ginger).

In addition, the article starts off in columns, setting out a clear decisive layout. As there is isn’t a lot text displayed on the page, it is clear the Florence is the most significant.

Conventionally, the article starts off with a large letter at the beginning of the paragraph. This provides the readers with a nice, bold start to the article by making the text seem more exciting and appealing therefore encouraging them to read the text. It also highlights the importance of the start of the paragraph through the use of the colour orange which is considered to be bright and eye catchy, therefore it invited the readers to read the text. More over the orange helps maintain the pages colour theme of white, orange and black by writing the text in black on a white background. Furthermore, the text follows the conventional layout of having columns which makes the quantity of the text to be smaller and not as descriptive.

Under the page title is a short introductory paragraph which summarises the article and introduces the main artist. This provides the readers with an insight of what the article is about.

The lack of text on this allows the images to speak for themselves so that the audience can have a perception of the artist and the page. It also make the page look more professional and simplistic as there is a lot of white space and more focus on image. Furthermore the colour scheme of the page is clearly demonstrated by the models clothing which has then been mirrored by the black article text and the orange page title.

Here the medium close up of lady gaga featured on the on the left hand side of the page, takes up one whole side of the article. This shows that the artist in the image is of major significance. In addition, Lady gaga is posing in an erotic, sexual manner. Her hands are holding her breasts therefore, adding elements of sex appeal to the page. The facts that she is only wearing a simple neck accessory, enhances her cleavage by adding a sense of sensuality that would appeal to the male members of the audience. Overall, this image presents lady gaga as confident – a person many women would aspire to be. Furthermore, the added effect of greyscale gives the image sleek, professional finish. It also illustrates the pages colour scheme of black, white and red.

The enlarged red coloured L placed behind the text is not only lady Gaga's initial, but it also anchors Q magazines style. In addition, the article is written out in columns to make it look as if there is a lot less to read on the page. The layout of the page is neat and easy to read.

The article is written in 3 columns which is a conventional layout of double page spread. This has been done so that the reader aren’t overwhelmed by amount of text on the page, the columns break the text into segments to create the illusion that there isn’t really a lot of text to read. This diverts the readers gaze from the text by giving them a bold introduction to the article. On this page this is coloured in red which is bright, so it ensures the audience aren’t bored with the amount of text of the page and it also makes the page look more exciting to the reader. More over, the colour theme of red, black and white is introduced by this aspect of the page.

The pages professionalism is demonstrated through the carefully thought out structure of this page and the basic house style of the double page spread. The bottom of the page features page numbers and the magazines information such as the website which introduces the use of new media. Similarly, the top part of the page features the main artists name ‘Lady Gaga’. Here the ‘lady’ is written in lower case letters whilst the second part of the artists’ name ‘Gaga’, is written in capitals suggesting that this term summarises the artists personality and her characteristics.
