1st place of visit. The Lujazui Finance & Trade Zones, with an area of 28 square kilometres, are on the opposite side of the Bund, in the heart of the Pudon New Area, with an assortment of skyscraper spires. To the left, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, ranked as the highest in China, and third highest in the world, plus Grand Hyatt Building and other financial buildings are located in this area. This also illustrates Shanghai’s commercial aspirations - in an orderly, huge and meticulously managed environment.

Business Etiquette
Learn Chinese. Pronounce names accurately.
Use important connections Watch the handshake! Use business cards. Avoid saying no….rather than maybe. Negotiation. State position clearly and
respectfully. Walk away. Leave time for reflection. Never argue. Check understanding. Nods can be polite reactions that don’t necessarily indicate understanding.
Learn from Chinese masters. BE PATIENT.
“A little impatience can ruin great projects” Confucius
“Know what you don’t know, that’s superiority’” Lao Tse
“The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” Confucius.
