We send heartfelt best wishes and heaps of luck to them all and look forward to hearing about their exploits as they embark on their secondary school career. A video Leavers Service has been compiled – huge thanks to staff, children and Rev Sean Sheffield for their contributions. This can be viewed on the school Facebook page - follow the link https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Elementary-School/St-Marys-C-of-E-Primary-School-820857021275490/ As you will also know from previous letters, we say goodbye to Mrs Debra Berbiers also. I am sure you join with me in thanking her for her work at St Mary’s and wish her all the very best in her new job. And Hello! We welcomed new staff to the team in March - Miss Jade Amer, Miss Megan Stone and Miss Claire Yarnley. We also welcome Ms Daisy Craig who will be teaching Class 1 next year, job-sharing with Mrs Emma Fagg who returns from maternity leave. In addition we welcome Miss Beth Roberts who will be teaching Class 3. We also, of course, welcome our new Reception children as well as children who will be joining other classes across the school. Thank you I would like to say a huge thank you to families, children and staff who have pulled together to keep things going in these last few months. When this academic year commenced none of us could have foreseen how it would end. There have been many challenges over the last four months but also a great number of triumphs; these are testament to the strength of the St Mary’s Primary School community. Families who have been at home throughout have done an amazing job keeping their children safe, completing some home learning and staying in touch with us; children who have returned to school have coped admirably with the new ways of working. The staff have been, and continue to be, amazing, taking everything in their stride and embracing new ways of working.
