DOWNLIGHTERS

Downlight or recessed light is a light fixture that is installed in a hollow opening in a ceiling .When installed it appears to have light shining from a hole in the ceiling .

There are two parts of downlights, the trim and the housing.The trim is the visible portion of the light, it is seen when looking up into fixture including thin line around the edges.

The housing is the fixture itself that is installed inside the ceiling and contains the lamp holder

Installing Downlighter Safely

advantage of being hidden light source and energy efficiency. However, the tradeoff is that they are relatively permanentand may be unflattering.

after the Installation of downlighter.They break the fire integrity of the ceiling .They allow sound to travel through the ceiling

more. If not installed properly they can cause a fire.
