My name’s Columbano

Bordalo Pinheiro.

I was born on the 21th November , 1857, in Lisbon.

In 1901, I was professor and director of the National Museum of Contemporary Art.

In 1881 , I created the “group of Lion”, in Lisbon. This group of painters and writers ( considered modern on that period), met usually , in this pub, with same name.

I died on the 6th November 1929. I was a naturalist and realist Portuguese painter.I left many works which portray important periods of my life.
