The extant papers of Galerie Charpentier, aspreserved by the Bibliothèque Kandinsky in Paris, do not give further details of the lender.Althoughitisratherlikelythatbothdrawingssharethesamepre-warprovenance,itappearsthatthepairwassubsequentlyseparated.
