Industrial sector serves as the backbone of a country as far as its GDP growth and corresponding economic stability is concerned. However, the compe��ve edge of an industry, in the interna�onal market, always remains under threat in the absence of an ac�ve R & D infrastructure of its own or in collabora�on with other relevant partners. Academia, on the other hand, serves as the hub of knowledge, great ideas, and poten�al innova�ons. It also trains the human resource required by the different sectors of a country especially the industrial sector. Despite having the poten�al of coming up with innova�ve ideas the path for academia to convert those ideas into marketable products is generally long and uncertain due to its limited manufacturing/processing capabili�es. The Academia – Industry collabora�on is, therefore, an essen�al requirement for the industry to tap in the relevant exper�se and for the researchers in academia to execute their research plans in the relevant

industrial environment.

The University of Wah has planned to organize a conference in December 2021 with the aim of bringing the industrial and academic experts on a single pla�orm to share their experiences and discuss about the possibili�es of future collabora�ons.
