1.You have been using questions since you began
your study of French. The most common way to form a question in spoken French is simply to use a rising intonation at the end of a statement. If you use a question word such as quand, comment, etc., you put it at the end of the sentence.

2. Another way to form a question in French is to place est-ce que before a statement. If a question word is used, it comes before est-ce que.

3. A third way to ask a question is to use inversion, that is, to reverse the order of the subject and verb. Inversion is used mostly in formal French.

4. When the verb is in the passé composé, you invert the subject and the auxiliary verb, avoir or être.
The same rule applies to verbs followed by an infinitive.
