In!2011!in!the!rolling!hills!of!Chester!County!two!culinary!professionals:!Rob!and!Christine!Boone!created!!Uncle!Harold’s!Gluten!Free!White!Corn!tortilla!chips,!!the!first!of!many!products!in!their!snack!line.!!One!afternoon!Rob!wanted!to!make!some!tortilla!chips!for!!a!dinner!that!evening!at!their!restaurant.!!He!went!to!the!local!tortilla!factory,!got!a!hold!of!some!seriously!fresh!white!corn!tortillas,!and!seasoned!them!with!his!signature!spice!mix,!!creating!a!culinary!fusion!of!!a!bold!and!sweet!flavor!in!your!mouth!when!eaten.!!!!Everyone!that!tried!some!that!night!loved!them!and!wanted!more!so!they!began!making!the!tortilla!chips!and!hand!packaging!them!daily!for!their!restaurant!customers.!!!Rob’s!dream!of!becoming!a!chef!began!when!he!was!7!years!old!and!stayed!focused!!to!bring!his!dream!to!reality.!!His!extensive!background!!includes!!training!in!Chicago!under!Charlie!Trotter!which!enabled!him!to!!deliver!his!cuisine!in!top!restaurants!such!as!Norman’s!in!Miami!as!well!as!Striped!Bass!and!Suzanna!Foo!in!Philadelphia.!!!!!In!2007!Rob!and!Christine!!purchased!!their!first!restaurant!!and!marketplace!with!the!!support!and!financial!assistance!of!Rob’s!Uncle!Harold.!!Without!Uncle!Harold’s!support!their!dream!would!have!never!become!a!reality.!!Christine!is!the!daughter!of!a!!Certified!German!Master!Chef!,!therefore!was!raised!in!the!culinary!industry.!!After!graduation!she!spent!over!a!decade!in!the!hotel/catering!industry!in!the!top!hotels!in!Miami.!!In!2014!Rob!and!Christine!partnered!with!Mark!and!Stephanie!Cohen,!two!local!entrepreneurs,!to!expand!the!product!line!and!production!.!!!!The!newest!items!in!the!Uncle!Harold’s!Snack!line!include!potato!chips,!sunflower!seeds,!and!pumpkin!seeds.!!!Uncle!Harold’s!snack!line!!are!produced!locally!at!the!Indoor!Artisan!Exchange!in!West!Chester,!PA!!We!hope!you!will!enjoy!them!as!much!as!we!do!!
