and the latest chassis technologies, the new XJ deliver

The new XJ offers the choice of three powerful and ref

new engines - the most technically advanced Jaguar ha

ever created. Heading the line-up is the supremely pow

supercharged 5.0 liter V8, available with 510 HP in the X

Supersport, or 470 HP in the XJ Supercharged. Jaguar’

new flagship is also available with a 385 HP naturally-

aspirated version of the V8 engine.

Active DifferentiAl control (1) An electronically controlled, active differential with Handling Functionality that limits the slip between therear wheels to optimize traction and stability in different driving conditions, working in harmony with theTraction, ABS and DSC systems.

ADAptive cruise control (Acc) (1) Uses microwave radar technology to monitor for slower moving traffic and can alert you to potential hazardsahead. It also controls both throttle and brakes to help maintain a constant time gap to the vehicle in front.When the road ahead clears, the system automatically accelerates back to the speed at which you were

driving. Forward Alert provides an audible warning if it senses that the traffic ahead slows.

ADAptive DynAmics (1)

Designed to provide the optimum balance between low speed ride comfort and high speed handlingprecision, analyzing body movement, steering and road wheel inputs up to 100 times a second andcontinuously adjusting the suspension settings through electronically controlled dampers.

ADvAnceD emergency BrAke Assist (1)

An enhancement to the ACC function. Using the ACC radar, the system calculates distance and speed of approach to the vehicle in front and pre-charges the brakes to help minimize impact speed if a collisionis predicted. The ACC interacts with the Virtual Instruments to provide the driver with information ondriving conditions.

cruise control with AutomAtic speeD limiter (Asl) (1) In tandem with cruise control, the Automatic Speed Limiter allows the driver to select a maximum speed thatshould not be exceeded.

DynAmic moDeOptimizes vehicle systems to deliver a more involving driving experience. When selected, Trac DSC isautomatically engaged, and engine torque delivery characteristics and gear shift points are modified tofurther improve responsiveness. When selected while the transmission is in full manual mode, transmissionup-shifts are fully controlled by the driver, with no automatic up-shift when the rev limit is reached. Dials andgraphic details change in the Virtual Instruments when Dynamic Mode is selected.
