muscle pain/dysfunction, with emphasis on differentiating between focal and global types of muscle dysfunction. Why global muscle dysfunction is typically a secondary reflex response from underlying facet joint or disc disorders, and how the nervous system participates in creating muscle imbalances. Hour 4: How chiropractors can use manual myofascial release techniques to treat localized painful muscle lesions and also use rehabilitative exercise techniques such as stretching and strengthening to correct global muscle imbalances. Developing a comprehensive method for proper diagnosis and treatment of FMS (false muscle pain) from “true” muscle pain and dysfunction. Speaker Bio: Dr. Michael J. Schneider’s seminars are relevant and timely, because they integrate chiropractic and sports medicine, physical therapy, and rehabilitative medicine into a unified approach to the evaluation of myofascial and muscular dysfunction.
