Churchill once described Russia as “a riddle, wrapped in a mystery,
inside an enigma”. And while that still rings true, the same can also be
said of China and Mongolia… but not for much longer. On this 26 day
journey taking in the ancient wonders of China, the ruined
monasteries of Mongolia, and the remote cities of Eastern Russia,
these three enigmatic countries are now yours to discover.
Explore the stunning gardens and canals of historic Suzhou, long
known as the ‘Venice of the East’; step back in time at the beautiful
Forbidden City in Beijing; and tick off the bucket list with a walk along
the Great Wall of China. In Mongolia, take in the exotic streets of
Ulaanbaatar; enjoy a camel ride through the Khongor Sand Dunes;
meet nomadic peoples living in the rolling steppe; explore the ruins of
long-forgotten monasteries and more! In Russia, experience a short
cruise on Lake Baikal, the world’s largest freshwater lake; and see the
famed Lenin Head Monument in Irkutsk. This spectacular tour
includes return international flights, two additional international
flights, 23 nights hotel and ger (yurt) accommodation, an overnight
sleeper train, 46 meals, English-speaking guides and more!
