PROJECT  PROFILE  

A. Title  of  the  Project   :   2nd PreSeT 2nd  National  PreService  Teachers  Convention    

B. Theme   :   “Preservice  Teacher  Education:  Delivering  Beyond  Essentials  &  Challenging  Standards”  

C. Project  Description    

:   A   4-­‐day   gathering   of   preservice   student   delegates,   teacher   educators   and   education  stakeholders   from   various   teacher   education   and   basic   education   institutions   across  the   country   for   updates,   exhibitions   of   pedagogical   content   knowledge,   skills   and  talents,  and  linkage  opportunities    

D. Project  Objectives   :   2nd PreSeT   will   enhance   the   preservice   teachers,   teacher   educators,   and  inservice   teachers’   professional   preparations   for   improved  quality   of   basic   education  delivery.      

More  specifically,  the  convention  will  provide  future  basic  education  teachers,  teacher  educators  and  education  stakeholders  with  opportunities  to:  

1. Be  abreast  with  the  most  relevant  issues  and  concerns  in  education;    

2. Engage   in   fora   that   respond   to   the   pressing   demands   of   teaching   and  learning;    

3. Showcase   their   exceptional   talents,   knowledge   and   skills   in   teaching   and  learning  different  content  areas;  and  

4. Establish   linkages   and   networks   between   and   among   teacher   education  institutions  and  preservice  teachers  of  the  Philippines.  

E. Convention  Highlights   :   Plenary   sessions   with   renowned   personalities   in   the   field   of   education   and   the  government

Fee   is   inclusive   of   conference   kit,   certificate,   souvenir   shirt,   transportation   service   for   half   day   Baguio   City  tour,  meals:  4  breakfast,  3  lunch,  3  dinner,  6  snacks,  1  cocktails  from  Feb  18-­‐21,  accommodation  for  4  nights  from  Feb.  17  –  PM  to  Feb.  21  –  AM)    

For  group  registration,  a  special  discount  of  30%  in  the  fee  is  given  to  the  11th  delegate.
