EVENTS
“Teachers Day”
Teachers day was celebrated on 5th september 2013. In the memories of Dr. Sar-
vapalli radha krushanan. On this occasion teachers whose subject result was
100% were felicitated by Dr. G.K.Kharate (Principal , MCOERC) , Dr V.H.Patil
(Vice-Principal, MCOERC), Hon. Kunalbhau Darade Students of Final Year Com-
puter Engineering have dedicated two lines for apiece staff. Class Coordinator of
Second Year, Third Year and Final Year have motivated students to improve Re-
sults.

“ Engineers Day”
The event was organized on the auspicious occasion of “Engineer’s day-A
Birthday of late sir vishveshwaraya”. The session began with the introduction
and felicitation of honorable guests. Some of the students delivered speeches
about engineer’s day and sir vishvesvaraya. On this occasion On the same occa-
sion various competitions such as Paper presentations and Poster presentations
were also organized and the winners of those events were also felicitated. On the
same occasion toppers of each class were also felicitated. Finally, the session
ended with vote of thanks. Mr. R. M. Gawande (lecturer comp. Dept) delivered
vote of thanks.
The session concluded with National Anthem.

“ Women’s Day Celebration and Health Awareness Program ”

To Celebrate Women's Day Pinnacle Club had invited the enormous inspi-
ration source Er. Apurva Jhakdi .She is the first lady from Nashik to NASA. She
is member of advisory committee of NASA. She shared her experience with astro-
nauts. She had also shared her experience of meeting with the dynamic lady
Kalpana Chavala. She had motivated girls that if girls have deliberation they can
achieve any heights.
Dr. Atul M. Kanikar is the Counselor for childhood and teenage behavioral
problems. He had focused teacher’s orientation on adolescent issues of the stu-
dents in colleges and work out on the same.
Prof. Vidhya Khapali, Principal KKW Women’s Polytechnic , Nashik has en-
couraged girls to improve their strengths. The session concluded with National
Anthem.

This state level workshop was organized for computer engineering Students

onship was hosted by ACM, Indian Institute of Technology. As per the norms of
Champion Ship the first round held under Pinnacle Club . From this zonal round
two winners were selected and they have achieved “Certificate of Excellence”.

“Hack-X-Ploit”
Date of Event: 15th and 16th March ,2014
Resource Person: Mr. Vidit Baxi , Director at Lucideus Tech Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi.
This state level workshop was organized for Students of all streams and the
people who uses internet to make them aware about threats to online security and
to make them aware, train about countermeasures of all the threats. This work-
shop was organized in collaboration of Lucideus and Indian Institute of Technolo-
gy, delhi. The vidit sir had trained students in different subjects like ethical hack-
ing, web hacking, mobile hacking, cyber laws, wireless hacking, desktop hacking,
Google hacking and many more…..
As the end of workshop ten student were choosen as campus ambassadors for Lu-
cideus and 2 students for summer internship.

“Content Based Image Retrieval”
Computer Department of MCERC in association with University of pune had
organized state level seminar on “Content Based Image Retrival” on 1st & 2nd April
2014. For the Seminar Prof. D.B. Kshirsagar from SRESCOE, Kopargaon Were
invited. Dr. V.H.Patil felicitated the guests and elaborated about the event. Prof
Kshirsagar explained concept of content based image retrieval with good exam-
ples , application of CBIR in different areas, Attendees enjoyed a session a lot and
gained valuable guidance. Mr. Ranjit Gawande from computer department pro-

“STL in C++”
Computer Department of MCERC in association with University of pune had
organized state level seminar on “standard template library in C++” on 24th august
2013. For the Seminar Mr, suchit tiwari From congnifront Ltd. Were invited. Dr.
V.H.Patil felicitated the guests and elaborated about the event. Mr suchit tiwari ex-
plained use of standard template library in C++ , application of STL in different ar-
eas, testing using STl and many more. He also elaborated with some good exam-
ples. Attendees enjoyed a session a lot and gained valuable guidance. Mr. Ranjit

“Third Post Graduate Symposium For Computer Engineering cPGCON-2014”
Third Post Graduate Symposium For Computer Engineering cPGCON-2014
was organized by Matoshri college of engineering & research center on 28th & 29th
March 2014 in association with BCUD and Lucideus Tech Pvt. Ltd. . this confer-
ence was a platform for PG students of computer engineering in pune university,
research scholars to present their research , innovations under one roof. This
conference is mandatory for the students doing PG in computer stream in Pune
university. 1100 students presented their research work in this conference. Total
2600 attendees were their for the conference. Best papers from each session were
chosen as winners. And will be published in Elsevier Journals. For this conference
hon. Chancellor, Vice-chancellor and other delegates from pune university were
present. Dr. Varsha patil (HOD-Computer Dept) produced Welcome speech elabo-
rating about event and MCERC, Nasik. And Prof. N.A.Deshpande from computer
department delivered vote of thanks after Prize distribution ceremony.

The event was organized for students to gain Knowledge about mobile computing.
Students are aware with the applications and usages of Mobile Computing but
the internal architecture is not that much in fed.. Ma'am had focused on the top-
ics like- Mobility Management, Signaling protocols, steps information of a call,
location updates, MS-PSTN call, PSTN-MS call, MS-MS call, call handover, Func-
tioning and types of PSTN networks. This lend a hand to students in curriculum
also.

Expert talk on operating system was organized for computer engineering stu-
dents. He make students aware about the different Operating Systems available
in market. He had discussed basic concepts of Operating system and give the
idea about different promotes and issues related with the different Operating Sys-
tems. He also shared his experience on working of implementation in hard disk
layers that will help the students to get in to the inventiveness of Operating Sys-
tem.

“Guest Lecture On Overview of Hadoop Technology ”

Resource Person: Mr. Shrikant Gawande Cognizant, Mumbai
This expert talk was organized to make aware students about the Hadoop tech-
nology. Hadoop enables users to store and process large volumes of data and an-
alyze it in ways not previously possible with less scalable solutions. Mr. Shrikant
Gawande had make students familiar about Hadoop and also clarify When to Use
( Analytics, Search, Data Retention, Log file processing, Analysis of Text, Image,
Audio, & Video content, Recommendation systems like in E-Commerce Websites)
And When Not to Use Hadoop (Low-latency or near real-time data access. If you
have a large number of small files to be processed. This is due to the way Hadoop
works. Multiple writes scenario or scenarios requiring arbitrary writes or writes

the subject and gain knowledge about distributed operating systems. In Universi-
ty Syllabus the course on Distributed Operating system is allotted for final Year
Engineering Students. The Resource persons were invited to edify for the same.
Mr. Piyush had explained how Message Passing is done for Distributed Systems
and also elaborate the architecture of Distributed System. Mr. Kunal Desle had
focused on Distributed Mutual Exclusion and Distributed Deadlock detection. He
has also spotlight on Distributed File System ,Distributed Shared Memory and
Distributed Scheduling. students enjoyed the session a lot and gained valuable
knowledge from it.

The expert for the session Mr. Rahul Pawar had shared his knowledge to
Third Year Computer Students “Exploring Oracle Database Architecture”. He had
trained students about How data is processed, stored, and utilized in an infor-
mation system. He had also emphasis on Constraints and influences in Database
Architecture. He had also elaborated students that Oracle Database is the first
database designed for enterprise grid computing, the most flexible and cost effec-
tive way to manage information and applications. The session was very knowl-
edgeable and experience gaining. The session concluded with the vote of thanks

SOCIAL VISITS
“Aadhartirth Aadhrashram”
On 1st February 2014 pinnacle club of MCOERC organized a social visit to
“Aadhartirth anathashram” a social NGO at Trymbakeshwar. The aim behind or-
ganizing this social visit was to make students aware of social organizations, their
working. Our students gifted some stationary and food. Also cooked the food for
children’s. Various acts, songs dances were present by students for those orphan
children’s.
The founder of ashram Mr. Trymbakrao Gaikwad congratulated our stu-
dents. The faculties deputed for this visit were Mrs. M. Borade , Mrs. Akshta
Dighe. From this visit students gained a very valuable experience.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS
“Industrial Visit to Sarda Farms ”
Date of Visit: 10th February, 2014
Location: Saarda Automated Milk Farm, Bhagur.
Report to Farm: 2:30 pm
Departure : 4:30 pm
This visit was organized to make students aware about new technologies in
market and industries. Automation is necessity of any area. One superior model is
Sarda Farms- Automated Milk Plant. IT is Situated at Bahgur, 12 Kms from
Nashik Road. Sarda Farms is a world standard cow farm with state of art milk pro-
duction system. From farm to your home the milk is never touched by a single hu-
man hand. Every cow in Sarda Farms is milked at the farm’s automatic milking
parlour and then sent through hermetically sealed pipelines to bulk cooler. And
from bulk cooler to our ultra modern processing unit in insulated tankers, which
ensures no human touch. The milk is then packed in sealed bottles and sent to
customers homes through their own delivery system. To-
tal 47 students and 5 Faculty Members have visited
farm.
Mr. Patil, Incharge of Sharda Farm has made all familiar
with the complete automation process.
