3G Methodology is based on a score card called “3G Card”. From the four nominations in each category, the winner will be selected by a global poll
3G Card has five pillars:
Transparency — commitment to operate ethically and legally, with integrity, transparency and accountability.
Social Responsibility — promote best practices in social responsibility, economic viability, and environmental stewardship.
Sustainability — promote sustainable practices and initiatives that embrace
the triple bottom line: economics, social equity and environment.
Impact — initiatives or contributions resulted in improved outcomes to community or industry or country.
Innovation — development of new ideas, practices, or products that promote and/or improve business practices in the realm of governance.
In order to maintain the highest standards of integrity, nominations are subject to multiple levels of independent review by a Selection Committee consisting of eminent personalities drawn from Government, Industry and the Academia.
INTRODUCTIONGlobal Good Governance Awards “3G Awards” are presented to governments, corporates and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for excellence in transparency, good governance and social responsibility.
The 2017 Awards Ceremony is planned to take place in Dubai,
UAE in April 2017.
From the four nominations in each category, the winner will be
selected by a global poll.

3G Politician of the Year Award
This award honors an individual who has made
a significant impact in promoting ethical values and
putting people and planet first.
3G Best Performance Award for a City Government
This award recognises remarkable improvements in performance in terms of increased efficiency,
effectiveness, and operational as well as financial outcomes at the city government level.
3G Civil Service Award
The award celebrates inspirational individual or innovative project within the civil service that has
transformed professionalism and promote good
governance of public service.
3G Upcoming Personality in Government & Politics
This award is presented to an outstanding public
sector official or politician who is a great advocate of transparency, governance
and/or social responsibility.
3G Best Public Sector Reforms Programme
The award recognises excellent in public reform
initiatives that has significantly improved the
effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
3G Best Governance Reporting Award
This award honors a public sector institution that has demonstrated strong commitment to good governance culture and open reporting including detailed overview of its performance and of its excellent
approach to stakeholder management.
3G Social Media Award
This award recognises a public sector institution that has adopted social media in promoting good governance and transparency that can
strengthen citizen goodwill.

This award recognises product or service that has created positive impact to

This award recognises organisation that has demonstrated efforts
in promoting corporate governance and raising the
bar for corporate stewardship, as disclosed in its annual
report.

This award honours organisation that has made tangible steps to

implementation of diversity policies; and measurement and reporting on diversity

This award recognises organisation’s efforts to

GLOBAL GOOD GOVERNANCE AWARDS 2016
A total of 23 awards were presented to individuals and organisations from all over the world, with the top award given to Her Royal Highness Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh bin Nasser Al-Thani, for her leading role in philanthropy. Her Excellency Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Honorable Prime Ministers of Malaysia, was amongst the guest of honour that night. She received the 3G Children Welfare Award 2016 on behalf of PERMATA, a talent search and development for children programme which she founded back in 2007.
Other winners included Novo Nordisk for 3G CSR Award, MUSIAD for 3G Advocacy Award, PEMANDU for 3G Best Public Sector Reforms Programme, Agrobank for 3G Financial Services Award, World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis (WCOP) for 3G Diversity Award for Social Sector, Arlanda Express for 3G Diversity Awards for Corporate Sector, Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia for 3G Women Empowerment Award and Islamic Development Bank for 3G Capacity Building Award.
In the education categories, winners included Eastern Public School for 3G Education Award, Higher Education Commission Pakistan for 3G Excellence in Higher Education Award, Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies UiTM for 3G Critics’ Choice Good Governance Award in Education, and Taleem Foundation for 3G Critics’ Choice Literacy and Female Education Award.
Two individual awards were presented to honour and recognise leading individuals in their relentless efforts to promote and uphold good governance and transparency. Professor Mehmet Bulut, President of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, received the 3G Special Award for Service to Higher Education. The 3G Civil Service Award went to Dr Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad, Chairman of Indonesian Financial Services Authority or OJK.
