Try tovisualizehowGod created our world and thefirsthuman beings.
Adam opened his eyes and looked straight into theeyes of... Who
isthis? hewondered.Standing before him was the most awe-inspiring, loving, and kind
being man has ever seen. God the Son, the Creator, reached for themans hand and pulled him to his feet. They stood face to face. The
Creator rejoiced over His first earthly creation made in the image ofGod. Adam was surrounded by a glow of pulsing light, reflecting the
glory and radiance of the Creator. Being in Gods presence Adam feltpeace, joy, and love for his Creator. His thoughts were holy, his desires
were pure, and his greatest joy was to spend time with God.In theGarden ofEden theCreator showed Adam themany gifts
created for him. With every stepAdams feet sank into velvet-likegrass.Hepaused to look into a flower. His eyes could seeinto thedetail as

they understood Adams words, then bounced away together.

why they could see the colors of the birds, why they could hear thesound of water across rocks. Yes, they had learned so many things,

As Joseph got closer, his brothers started calling out names and
making nasty comments. They grabbed him, tore off the fancy robetheir father had given him, and threw him down the empty wellnearby. Reuben, always a little weak, didnt want to get into troublewith his father by letting something bad happen to Joseph. But he
didnt want to be in trouble with his brothers, either. he wandered offto try to think up a plan that wouldnt get him in trouble with any-
body.

Jacob loved Joseph more than any of his other sons. Joseph wasthe son of his favorite wife, Rachel, and it had been many years before
she had given him a child. So Jacob loved Joseph a lot. One bright, early morning Joseph was called to go before his father.
I wonder what he wants, Joseph thought. He felt a little anxious, alittle excited.

Much had changed sinceAdam and Eve had last walked and
talked with theCreator in theGarden ofEden.Oh,how they
wished they could seeGod faceto faceas in thepast! With deepregret
they remembered what they had lost as a result oftheir disobedience.
All around them in naturethey saw thesigns ofdeclineas conse-
quenceofth eir disobedience.Theanimals that oncewerepeaceful
had becomeviolent.Thistles and weeds grew everywhere.Thesigns
ofdecline and death werevisiblein plant, animal, and human life.
With the passage of time, Adam and Eve became parents. Theytaught their two sons about the Creator and about life in Paradise.
Often the first family went to worship God at the entrance of theGarden of Eden. Cain and Abel remembered the anguish on their
parentsfaces as they tied the lamb and placed it on the stone altar. While Adam gashed the throat of a lamb they each felt deep grief. It
was very sad to see the innocent animal die.

and serve it on golden tableware with a background of live musicalentertainment.

The high-pitched wailing of the mourners went on and on. Naomi
pushed back her black veil and wiped her face. Since she hadmoved across the Jordan River to Moab with her husband and hertwo sons, this was the third funeral for her family. She and her hus-
band, Elimelech, had left their hometown of Bethlehem in Judah toescape a terrible famine.
They had come to Moab to start a new life. But instead of life, shehad found death. First Elimelech had died. She was left alone with her
two sons, Mahlon and Kilion. Her two sons married Ruth and Orpah, the Moabite girls they had chosen. Her daughters-in-law had become
part of the family, even though they were from another culture. But
now her sons had died too. Naomi pulled her veil back over her face. Her voice again joined the shrill wail of the other mourners. For a while Naomi, Ruth, and Orpah struggled to survive on their
own. Then, little by little, they started to hear news that th e faminewas over in Judah. Naomi called Ruth and Orpah together for a family

Back then thestrength ofGod had been with him.Now he was sitting here, getting a little rest. Ever since the
Philistines had learned of his vow to God and had shaved his head,he had been blindly grinding grain in a prison in Gaza. His capture
was a huge Philistine triumph. This celebration would honor thegod Dagon. He could sense that people, as usual, were crowding
into the temple for the festivities. Samson remembered when Godhad blessed him with great physical strength. He recalled major
victoriesthe times he had used his bare hands or the jawbone of adonkey. There had been no obstacle too big in those days.
Samson knew he had started making bad choices. In his choice offriends and entertainment he went against the wishes of his par-
ents, who pleaded with him. Slowly these choices had become moreimportant to him than the work God was doing through him. Beforehe knew it, he was here, blind and helpless, a slave to his enemies.
And since they had been able to capture him, the Philistines wereconvinced that their god was more powerful than his.

4 God the SonI believe that Jesus, God the Son,created this world and everything good init. Two thousand years ago, He came to thisearth as a baby, grew up, and lived a sinlesslife. He then died on the cross so that I couldsomeday live forever with Him in heaven.
5 God the Holy SpiritI believe that God the Holy Spiritspeaks to me through that still, small voiceI hear in my thoughts whenever I feel afraid, sad, or lonely. He tells me that everythingwill be all right. The Holy Spirit also tries toteach me right from wrong by making mefeel guilty when I sin and joyful each timeI choose to obey Gods laws of love.
6 CreationI believe that Jesus created everythingin six days and then rested on the seventhday. When He finished making the trees, animals, oceans, mountains, and people,Jesus looked around at all that He had doneand said joyfully, This is very good!
7The Nature of Man
I believe that Jesus made people inthe image of God. Each enjoys the freedomto think and act any way they choose. Eventhough sin and bad choices have broughtpain and suffering to many, were stillchildren of God. With the help of the HolySpirit, we can care for each other just as Godcares for each one of us.
8 The Great ControversyI believe that Satan is a real being whowants to destroy us all. He works hard each
day to bring sin into our lives. God wantsus to live each day with joy, happiness, andlove. God and Satan are fighting for controlover our lives and our futures. To help usovercome sin, Jesus sends the Holy Spiritand loving angels to guide and protect us.
9 The Life, Death, andResurrection of JesusI believe that Jesus lived a perfect lifein order to show us that its possible toovercome sin. He died on the cross so I wonthave to lose my heavenly home because ofmy sins. Then, God the Father raised Jesusfrom the dead to show how Hell somedayraise me from the dead if I die before Jesusreturns.
10 The Experienceof SalvationI believe that when I allow Jesus into myheart, He helps me change from a sinner to achild of God, ready to live forever in heaven.
He teaches me how to be like Him as I readmy Bible and follow the loving guidance ofthe Holy Spirit. Because of Jesus, I can feelconfident that Im forgiven and that theres ahome waiting for me in heaven.
11 Growing in JesusI believe that when someoneinvites Jesus into their heart, changesstart to happen. What they read, watch on
television or on the Internet, eat, and listen
to, and the places they go, even the wordsthey say, will change. The pages of the Biblewill become like a textbook for living, andthey will talk to Jesus throughout each day. These changes keep happening, day afterday, until Jesus comes.
12 The ChurchI believe that my church is a placewhere people who love Jesus can praise Himtogether with joy and anticipation. Its likeattending a fun family reunion each week.
Jesus loves His church and listens to everyword spoken and every song sung.
13 The Remnantand Its MissionI believe that before Jesus comes the secondtime, some people in my church will choosesin over salvation. Those who stay faithful toJesus and to what the voice of the Holy Spirittells them to do are called the remnant, andthey will work extra hard to bring the love ofGod to the world. Though the remnant maybe small in number, they will accomplishgreat things for God so that Jesus can return.
14 Unity in the Bodyof ChristI believe that any church whose membersworship God should welcome people fromany nation, who speak any language, andwhose skin is any color. Were all equal inGods sight. How we look and how wesound makes no difference. Were all children
of the same heavenly Father.
15 BaptismI believe that when Im baptized,Im telling everyone that I love God and wantto live my life in service to Him. Baptism islike being buried as a sinner and then risingup to live a new life for Jesus.

Adapted from God Loves Me 28 Ways | By Charles Mills
16The Lords Supper
I believe that when Jesus ate Hislast meal with His disciples right before Hewas crucified, He taught us something won-derful. He said that the grape juice (wine)represented His spilled blood and that thebread represented His broken body. When Ipartake of The Lords Supper at church, ithelps me remember the sacrifice Jesus madefor me on the cross.
17 Spiritual Giftsand MinistriesI believe that God has given us specialtalents that we can use to serve Him. Weeach enjoy different skills such as music, preaching, teaching, art, giving Bible studies, visiting the sick, or making people feelwelcome when they visit our church. Eachspiritual gift is important to Gods work.
18 The Gift of ProphecyI believe that the people in Godschurch have needed help knowing how to liveand what to look forward to in the future. SoGod invited a woman named Ellen G. Whiteto be His prophet and provide guidance, instruction, and correction for His people. Her writings also help us understand theimportant lessons found in the Bible.
19 The Law of GodI believe that Gods Ten Com-mandments contain the best rules for living. Each is designed to protect me from sin andhelp me love God and others better. Each
represents how much God loves me andhow He wants me to live a happy, healthylife. Obeying the Ten Commandments is likesaying I love You to God and others.
20 The SabbathI believe that God created theseventh day (Saturday) to be a holy day. Hecommands me to rest, worship Him, and dospecial work for Him on that day as a way of
showing Himand othersthat I believe
He is the Creator of all good things. Godsholy Sabbath begins at sundown on Fridayand ends at sundown on Saturday.
21StewardshipI believe that everything belongs toGod: the trees, the flowers, the animalseven me. God has asked me to take care ofwhat He created and to protect all thingsfrom harmeven me. So I will cherishGods creatures and creation. To show Himhow proud I am to be His steward, Ill faith-
fully return a tithe (10 percent) of my time, talent, and money. I want God to bless thisworld and everything in iteven me.
22 Christian BehaviorI believe that anyone who lovesJesus should talk, act, eat, work, and playdifferently from those who love Satan.Everything I do should show others thatJesus lives in my heart and that Im doingmy best to live by His rules of love.
23Marriage andthe Family
I believe that in order for us to understandthe joy of living in heaven, God invites usto create families here on this earth. Ourheavenly Father wants our earthly homes tobe safe places where we learn about His loveand forgiveness. When we love our brothersand sisters, parents and grandparents, unclesand aunts, were experiencing a beautifulexample of what it will be like to live in
heaven with everyone who has chosen tolove and obey God.
24 Jesus Ministry in theHeavenly SanctuaryI believe that God instructed Moses and thechildren of Israel to build a temple in thewilderness to explain what Jesus is doingright now in heaven. In the wilderness thepriests offered to God animal sacrifices for the
forgiveness of sins and pronounced judgment
on those who chose to do evil. Thats whatJesus is doing right now in heaven. He is ourheavenly priest who forgives us, cleansessin from our hearts, and finally welcomes ushome to heaven.
25 The SecondComing of JesusI believe that one day soon Jesus is going toreturn to this earth and invite everyone whohas chosen to love and obey Him to heaven. When He comes, those who hate Him will be
destroyed. But everyone else, even the faith-ful who have died in the past, will leave thisdark world and spend eternity with Jesus.
26 Death and ResurrectionI believe that Jesus can raisepeople from the dead. He did it before, raisingLazarus and the widows son, and He will doit again when He comes the second time. Soeven though some of my family membersare asleep in their graves, Ill see them againbecause of the power of God over death.
27 The Millenniumand the End of SinI believe that someday sin and sinnerswill be gone forever. Even those who diedhating God will fully understand the lies thatSatan told them, and will agree that Godsjudgment is just. Without Gods presenceto shield them from harm, Satan and everysinner will be completely destroyed by fire.
28The New EarthI believe that after Satan and
sinners are destroyed, my heavenly Fatherwill create a brand-new world for us toenjoy. There will be no death, no tears, nopain, no suffering. All, will be peace andlove. Best of all, I will enjoy this wonderfulworld forever together with my family andall who love God.

dearstudentY
ou are a gift from God, and He loves you very much!
If the Lord knows each star by name and makessure that it is in the proper place each night (Isaiah 40:
26), how much more important are you?
Not every person is alike. Look around you. Everyone
has different color eyes, hair, skin, and build (tall, short,
big-boned, and thin). We all learn differently. Some
people learn by listening, others by sight, and still others
by touch. Some people use all three ways to learn.
Regardless of how you learn, the Lord wants you to
love Him and serve Him with all your heart. You do that
when you pray, learn about Him (in your lesson study),talk about Him to others, and do what is right.
Here is a great truth you should know about the
Lord: Jesus isnt primarily concerned about how well
you can read or write, or even how well you can speak.
What Jesus cares about most is how much you love
Him and want Him in your life. The greatest accom-
plishment in your life will be to show others how much
God has blessed your life.
In school you use different ways to get the informa-
tion that you want. Use those same ways to learn moreabout the Lord: Use your computer, iPod, or iPad to
hear or study your lesson. Or have your parents read
your lesson to you. Use the Bible on CD, or the audio
podcast of your lesson at www.juniorpowerpoints.org/
podcast.php?channel=1. It does not matter which way
you get the information, as long as you are growing
and maturing in the Lord.
Think about this when you meet Jesus face to face:
He is not going to ask to see how well you write some-
thing. He will not ask you to read anything. His only
pursuit is to read your heart to see how much you love
Him. He wants to spend eternity with you!
Worshipping God whocreated us in His image. Aswe reflect on Gods characterand worship the Creator, webecome more and more like Him.
A respectful Christian
community that results fromaccepting Gods grace anddedicating all we are to Him.
The grace of God that findsus wherever we are andoffers us an opportunity tobe a part of His family.
Gods transforming power
that draws us to Himself andenables us to be faithful to Him.
Welcome to PowerPointsabout Gods grace.Gods grace ispower. Its theunlimited, for-sure, forever powerthat finds you and fills you up witheverything you need to live a full andwonderful life in Him.

These lessons, including the story, are to remind you of what you studiedfrom the Bible in Sabbath School the week before. They include ideas
for living what you learned. Other ideas help you communicate with Godthrough prayer, reading from your Bible, and reflecting on what you read. That is how to grow your own relationship with Jesus.
These stories and activities arent like a school lesson for you to studybefore a test. Actually, a big part of your Sabbath School lesson is the studyyou do from the Bible and the discussions you have with your teachers in
Sabbath School.Maybe you dont have a Sabbath School class that studies the lesson. Or
maybe you want to know the Bible story before you get to Sabbath School. Ifthats so, why dont you read for yourself the Bible texts and references listedat the beginning of each story? Or better yet, read them with an adult for Fri-day night worship. You might even think up some questions as you read. Besure to write them down so you can ask your teacher on Sabbath morning.
Most important, please take time to read, pray, and reflect on Jesus everyday. Ask Him to help you apply what you study to what you do in real life. Itisnt only what you know with your head, but its also what you know with
your heart, that helps you be a strong, growing Christian.
Happy growing in Jesus!The Editor
PS: Write and tell us how youre growing in Jesus.
