SUBSTATION:
A substation is a part of an electricalgeneration, transmission,
and distribution system. Substations transform voltage from high to low, or the
reverse, or perform any of several other important functions.
SITE
At hadala ,14 km from MEFGI.
400 kv input line (double busbar) and 220kv (output)
Connected in ring main system of hadala – amreli – varsana
Has been Established in 2007
Incoming line from generating station (adani(95),varasana(161),essar-
vadinar(282,287) )
Outgoing line from HADALA substation (chorania(146),amreli(245))
Busbar system
Double busbar in incoming line and one extra transfer bus is being used .
Fully numerical protection to all the line.
Transfer bus can serve only in replace to one bus bar
Components
At incoming line
1. Wave trap
2. Cvt (capacitive voltage transformer )
3. Reactor (100mvar ),(for ferrenty effect)
4. Lightning arrester (ring type structure can be use at the time of lightning )
It has property of low resistance path during high voltage
ZNO2 material is used (normally solid state)
5. Central bus isolator
6. C.B.(SF6)
Transformer (315 mva )
Protection system – world class
Operating time of c.b. 80 msec
Fault detection time 30 msec
LBB protection was used if the line c.b. fails to operated (as a backup proctection)
Autorecloser at outgoing line (one try only)
Control room
Control panels for detection of current voltage reactive and real power
Relay room was inside the control room
Relay room has DAS(DATA AQUISATION SYSTEM) system
Battery room
Battery room for the powering all the numerical relays and control room
operation
Two system of battery – 1. 50v 1000AH (each cell 2v)
2. 220v (for all the auxillary)
