Chosen – For a Purpose
In Christ we are:• Chosen• Predestined• Adopted• Accepted in the Beloved
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to
abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good
pleasure which He purposed in Himself,

22 …the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them,
and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may
know that You have sent Me, and have loved them
as You have loved Me.John 17:22

21 Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head
of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all
their sins, putting them on the head of the goat,
and shall send it away into the wilderness
by the hand of a suitable man.
22 The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to an

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us
in all wisdom and prudence,
Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?Look! There is flowing a crimson
tide, brighter than snow you may be
today.
Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that will pardon and cleanse
within;Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!
9 having made known to us the mystery of His will…
MYSTERY• Not “whodunit?”• “Truth once hidden, now
revealed”
9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure
which He purposed in Himself,
• God is sovereign• God is just and good in all
His ways• God’s ways are higher than
our ways
God exercises His own wisdom and understanding when He makes
known His will…The Gospel is first of all a revelation about God’s
purpose and work, and here His revealing activity is a cause for
praise. The term mystery emphasizes the
revelation theme further.R.E. Brown

In Remembrance of Me
I have a home prepared for me,
Since I have been redeemed,Where I shall dwell eternally,Since I have been redeemed.
Since I have been redeemed,Since I have been redeemed,
I will glory in His Name,Since I have been redeemed,I will glory in the Saviour’s
Name.
