Research Interest
My research interest is in the area of organic synthesis associated with
the preparation of calixarenes, bowl shaped molecules, which are key
tectons in supramolecular chemistry and material sciences. These
macrocycles can function as models for mimicking biological systems,
catalysing organic reactions and molecular sensing.

Summary of work done during doctorate under title of
“SYNTHESIS OF CALIX[4]ARENE BASED RECEPTORS FOR THE REMOVAL
OF ANOINS FROM AQUEOUS MEDIA”
The work involve the design and synthesis of different sorbent material based on
calix[4]arene compounds for the removal of anionic species present in water. Number of
methods were developed and work has been published in peer reviewed journals.
