Please praise God that:
• Matthew & Michelle Briggs, Marsden, QLD, married by Ps. John Tonga during the
celebration of the Country Gospel Festival in early November, was blessed by God.
• Belinda & Brenda Simon who attended the Briggs wedding will serve as bridesmaids
to Lois Roberts.
• Kevin & Glenny Naden announced encouraging Aboriginal art business news and
the arrival of their first grandson, Jalen Kevin Naden Dumas. Parents are Kevin &
Elissa Dumas, Coffs Harbour, N.S.W.
• Pastor Cedric & Nolene Button’s home ministry, Kempsey, N.S.W. is being blessed.
• Jeff Beam, David Greenier, Jim Hodge and Rob Wilson are collaborating to develop

• Mick Mundine celebrated that The Block in the inner Sydney suburb of Redfern,
N.S.W., a long neglected Aboriginal community, has initiated being an alcohol free
site and received approval for their plan for a sustainable community.
• Beswick NT Church as reported by Tony Tierney and Carl Musch are going very well
with many people repenting, coming back to fellowship with renewed vigor.
Christian conventions in Katherine, NT, has inspired a men’s camp.
• Aboriginal families are increasing in home ownership. Home owner households
increased 3% from 26% in 2001 to 29% in 2006.
• A.C.T.S. has a growing number of persons (i.e. Ashley & Justina Truscott, in Perth,
WA.) awaiting training and resources to start a Prayer in Action Family in their area.
• Stan Walker, 18 year old soul singer from the Tweed Valley Community Church, is
now the Australian Idol.
• Rev Bill & Miriam Boylan’s Australian trip focusing on sharing your faith with
family/community, was a blessing to many new people and helped form A.C.T.S.

Please thank God that:
• Brett & Michelle Nel, who are part of a team of MAF pilots, report over 100 people
coming to a Kid’s Club in Yirrkala, NT. Gerard, whose Yolngu name is Bunumbirr,
became the first Yolngu adult to become baptised in this remote community in 25
years! He is being discipled and is sharing, teaching and translating.
• We have over 300 new families wanting A.C.T.S. Praise & Prayer Updates, and have
fifteen Church visitations for August – September 2010.
• A.C.T.S. Prayer in Action Warriors are in over 650+ communities (i.e., Perth & Broome,
W.A., Alice Springs & Mutitjulu, N.T., Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Newcastle, & Tweed
Heads.N.S.W., Brisbane, Cairns, Mareeba & Mossman’s Gorge, QLD) are praying for
the unsaved.

• Over 300 multi-racial/denominational persons from Eden, N.S.W. to Cherbourg, Qld,
enjoyed the 6th annual Country Gospel Festival at the Church of Christ property in
Berimba, Qld. Pastored by John & Maria Tonga.
• Sylvia Trefry, Convener of A.C.T.S. Board of Advisors, is encouraged by over 50
volunteer board members.

Father, hear our prayer for:
Compassion
• A greater Tweed Heads, NSW church going family who experienced sexual abuse of their
10 month old daughter/granddaughter.
• The grieving family (i.e., Kylie Henry) of 17 year old Daniel Warner, from Cherbourg, QLD,
who joined too many Australian men in the decision to suicide.
• The grieving families of Pastor Albert Wolff and Joanne Gant who passed into glory, after
long bouts of cancer.
• Despite two years of government effort, the gap between the Aboriginal and non
Aboriginal population on child abuse and neglect is widening. Aboriginal children were
almost seven times more likely to be abused and or neglected than non-Aboriginal
children in 2007/08.

• Wiping out of “third world” diseases (i.e. leprosy, rheumatic fever, tuberculosis and
malnutrition) which are grossly suffered by Australian’s Aborigines.
Healing
• Continued healing from cancer for Marian Habel, Jim Hodge, Jillian Tierney, and Bob Witte.
• Recovery and deliverance for all who suffer (kidney, blood pressure, diabetes, and/or the
effects of alcohol/drugs), (i.e., Cara, Deidre, Gary, Glen, Grantley, Neville, & Pat).
• Bert, Tim Dougherty, Bill Fischer, Shirley Kaltenbach, Lisa, Bill Ruge and Lance Waters, and
others who have been hospitalized.
• Kevin Byrne’s knees which are very painful.
• Relationships of men and women in prison with long sentences and family waiting.
Aboriginals are 19 times more likely to be in jail. Aboriginal imprisonment rates grew 37% in
the 8 years between 2000 and 2008.
Discipleship
• Evangelists, pastors, teachers and mentors for new Christians throughout Australia.
• Encouragement for the Christians in remote Arnhem Land communities (i.e., Eva Valley,
Beswick & Bullman, NT), that they would put their prayers & faith into action.
• Pastor John & Maria Tonga’s National Rugby League sons, Willie, with the Cowboys, and
Essie, with the Titians: protection, spiritual direction and their family ministry. Spiritual Warfare
• Strength to persevere in the attacks from the forces of selfishness, especially for new Christians and
those that serve them.
• A Holy Spirit revival in Aboriginal communities (i.e., Condobolin & Dubbo, N.S.W., and Broome & Perth,
W.A.) to break the power of the enemy over the people.
• John & Annette Ives’s strength to continue to be faithful in what God has given them to do in
Galiwin’ku, N.T. after months of difficult Yolngu politics.
Organisation
• The continued blessing of God on John Cross’s growing ministry, Scriptures at Schools, based in
Newcastle, N.S.W. and each of A.C.T.S. 170+ volunteer families.

• The continued development of A.C.T.S. Prayer in Action Coordinators and Families all along
Australia’s most expansive coastal perimeter.
