Introduction to Coding with Scratch with

Design Code Build staff When: Friday 2nd-8th 3:15-4:45 p.m. in A1 classroom

The Scratch community is sort of like the “YouTube” of games – once a student has created a game and uploaded it publicly to the community, he or she will be able to see how many times the game has been played, how many people “liked” it, and even how many people looked at their code to use for their own games. We will talk in depth about what makes a game fun, and learn how to make and use cool graphics and sounds to keep people interested in playing. We will have scratch programming challenges during each class, as well as an opportunity for students to work long-term on a game idea of their choice over the 6 sessions of this camp. This course is great fun whether or not your child has programmed before.
