Operating Schedule
When do you want the premises licence to start?
01/09/2019
If you wish the licence to be valid only for a limited period, when do you want it to end?
If 5,000 or more people are expected to attend the premises at any one time, please state the number expected to attend.
Describe the premises. For example the type of premises, its general situation and layout and any other information which could be relevant to the licensing objectives. Where your application includes off-supplies of alcohol and you intend to provide a place for consumption of these off-supplies you must include a description of where the place will be and its proximity to the premises.
Description: This application is to provide for a new facility for wine tasting and events at Albourne Farm, Shaves Wood Lane, Albourne, West Sussex, BN6 9DX and to incorporate the current licence (PWA0484) held by Albourne Winery Ltd for a smaller existing Tasting Room and retail premises. The current licence has been running successfully and lawfully since July 2014 in which time there have been no complaints or incidents. The plan is to surrender this licence once the new licence is granted. The new facility, which is currently under construction, consists of an interior serving bar/tasting area/servery/offices/toilets situated on a mezzanine level within the existing Winery buildings and an exterior south-facing balcony. Albourne Winery Ltd will be using this facility in order to promote and sell the wines produced on-site from the grapes produced at Albourne Estate vineyard adjacent to the winery buildings. The majority of visitors to the venue are via pre-arrangement (bookings/invitations/planned ticketed events etc). This enables control of numbers. The existing Tasting Room & Shop will remain in use primarily for retail purposes.
