had a wonderful journey since 2012 when Rafford registered as a
community based organization and surely amidst challenges we
have kept strong and focuses to the mission.
A number of activities have been implemented since January 2013 to December 2013 however
another set of activities were not been implemented basically due to financial challenges. We
would like to thank the helping hands of all of you who gave in your clothes, money, vegetable
seed and also those who turned up for our fundraising events.
In a special way we thank Hon. Dorothy Mpiima M.P Buikwe District (Maama Buikwe) who
accepted our invitation and became our chief guest and the financial support you gave on our
fundraising dinner under the theme:Building the future with Todays Children .During that day
we had an interactive session on strategy formulation and those who gave us ideas on how to
redefine our strategy we thank you so very much and we believe that growth is a journey that
involves change that is why we are looking forward to redefining our strategy and approach come
2014 for the betterment of the children.
We thank the parents and guardians of the little children under Rafford for your unending support,

them for scheduled medical check ups .Indeed you are one and the same with our motto Hope

To all Rafford staff and management thank you for putting in all the effort regardless of little or
no rewards but I believe its worthwhile and actually more rewarding to support children secure
their future than to get paid. Mary, Asher and Ivan Youre indeed a team to identify with.

3.0 PROGRAMS
3.0.1 FAMILY SUPPORT
Rafford Uganda believes that children need to have a balanced diet and a diet is never complete
without vegetables at each meal. With the children that we currently work with its more
important to support the guardians to have and access vegetables that are rich in vitamin A to
boost the childrens immunity. Through our partnership with the Bambisa Group in Germany we
received a number of vegetable seed ranging from carrots to Beetroot and the families benefited,
planted and children enjoyed the harvest. The harvest was greatly affected by too much sunshine
