Nanotechnology
• The design ,characterization, production and application of structure and systems by controlling the shape and size of building blocks at the nanometer scale.
• The study of control of matter on an atomic and molecular scale.
• Involves engineering on a small scale to create small ,cheaper, lighter and fast device that can do more thing with less raw material

• Nanotechnology is the science to deal and control the matter at atomiclevel. Particles in the range of 1 to 100 nm are classified as nanoparticles.Their superb properties are due to their high surface to volume ratio thisimparts these nanoparticles some unique properties which they do notexhibit at macro level.

TYPES OF NANOTECHNOLOGY in textiles
• Nanotechnology in fibers and yarn (fabric form)
• Nanotechnology in coating (textile finishing )
• E Textiles

Nano fibers
• Nano fibers is a continues fiber with diameter in the range of billionths of a meter
• The smallest nanofibers made today are between 1.5 and 1.75 nanometers

Application
• The fabric is padded and dried
• During drying water evaporates
• During subsequent curing operation the polymers melt and spreadGiving uniform coating of the fibers due to nano size of the finishingagent .

biotechnology• Biotechnology is the technology based biology. Biotechnology harness
cellular and biomolecular process to develop technologies and productsthat helps the improve durability of the fibers.
• We have to used biological process of microorganisms for more than6000 years to make useful product.
