HTML vs. Flash based Solutions
EWD Simulator first development was Flash (HTML5 was not standard yet)
Flash was not robust enough to support all functionality (bugs, two
circuits)
First diagram in HTML5 was an improvement
Learning-> All bugs could not be incorporated in one HTML page
Slowed the system
Created glitches with more complex bugs
Circuit 2-> Developed multiple EWD pages to support individual bugs
Responsiveness improved tremendously

How are the EWD A/C Simulators being used today? Currently a
supplemental tool used to bridge theory to application. Allows the development
of complete circuit operation awareness that is engaging.
Cost savings Fix Right the First Time-Efficiencies due to correct application of
electrical/air conditioning theory.
Time savings Technician doesn’t waste time tearing apart a car; Technician
can develop 2 to 3 root causes that can ben verified on the vehicle.

hunt” diagnoses. Reinforces wiring diagram/Techstream-driven diagnoses.
